Not my usual pairing, but they are pretty darn cute huh?

Claudia hunched over her laptop, quickly punching in what seemed to be code to some unknown program. Looking over her work she sighed and leaned back, running her hand through her short hair.

"Hey! Claud!"

"Holy Jesus!" Claudia yelled as Pete suddenly appeared next to her. "Have you been hanging out with Mrs. Frederic lately? Because dude, that was creepy."

"Oh I'm sorry Mrs. I'm-too-busy-with-important-work-to-hang-out-with-me," said Pete in a mocking tone. "But what is on that screen doesn't look much like important work to me." Claudia looked at the screen and back at Pete, a faint blush running across her cheeks.

"Shut up. It IS important. Not that you would care about it."

"What do you mean? Of course I care!" Pete reached over and took Claudia's hand. "I care about everything you do, ok? You are really important to me."

Claudia ducked her head, even more embarrassed with the surprise seriousness on Pete's face. "Yeah well. You too. You guys are like the only family I've got."

"Yeah. Family." Pete removed his hand. "Listen Claudia. I.." he sighed. "What exactly are you doing on that thing anyways?"

"What this? Oh nothing nothing at all."

"I thought you said it was important!"

"Yeah well. Change of plans. Nothing you need to see here." Claudia moved to shut the laptop, but was too late. Pete had already grabbed the machine and danced away with it. His eyes began scanning the screen and he realized that this was certainly not code. It was writing. It was kind of like a journal. About him. Pete looked up at Claudia. She was standing there, embarrassment coupled with shame written on her face, her eyes watering.

"Woah woah! Claudia don't cry!" Pete ran back to her and set down the laptop.

"Yeah well. It is just really stupid ok? I didn't want you to know."

"It isn't stupid. Not at all." Pete pulled the girl into a hug, his strong arms enveloping her with warmth. She tried to tug away, but he held on to her.

"Of course it is stupid. It isn't like you are ever going to feel the same way!"

"But I do."

"And I know that Myka would ki-. Wait a second what did you say?" Claudia pulled back, this time Pete let her go, but not too far.

"I do feel the same."

"What? I never... but Kelly? and uhh.. I don't know. You can't! I'm so messed up!"

"Claudia. Stop it. You are the most beautiful and intelligent woman I know, besides Myka who we both know that she is like a sister to me."

"Ok. Ok. This is just. A LOT." Pete laughed at that and pulled Claudia in for another hug, grinning when she returned it.

"We'll work it out, ok?"

"Sounds good to me. But can we just, stay here for a little bit first?"

"Yeah. I'd like that."
