Characters, M. C/Rhinna Trace and Jacob
She stared at the photos for a while now, a soft smile played on her lips and her green eyes wet with tears. She missed him, she truly did. Rhinna missed how Jacob would tease her about everything, how he would protect her from the muggles that would bully her. How the tall brunet would comfort her when their had mother grew sick with cancer. And how he always kept his promises.
At the time, she was 7 and he 11. It was the summer before he went to Hogwarts for his first year. Giving a soft chuckle, she rembered how she would refused to talk to him. And how she insisted that 'he didn't love her anymore', and that 'he wanted to get far as away as possible'.
He would knock on her door and constantly tried to beg her to let him in, which she would reply with a grunt.
"Puuummppkkiin, I promise you on my LIFE that its not because I hate you! I-Its just that I have to go so I can become a wizard, you'll do it too, someday!" He called. Rhinna looked back at the boy, her green eyes meeting his brown eyes. She knew she was overreacting, but that still didn't mean she had to like it!
Crossing her chubby little arms, she turned her head to the side. "No." She huffed. Sighing, Jacob walked hastily towards the small raven haired girl. Gently grabbing her shoulders and turning around, he stared at the crying Noirette.
"Listen," he said softly, "I may be leaving, but I WILL be back. I don't hate you, I never could. You're my, annoying, but lovable little sister, Pumpkin. I will always comeback, you have my word."
Looking up with glassy green eyes, "Promise?" She mumbled as she was hugged into his chest. Giving a chuckle, "Promise" he had replied.
But when he had turned 14, he didn't return. She the ten year old waited and waited, but he never came back. One night, she over heard her parents talking about him.
"-I just can't believe he did that! How could MY son d-do that?!" She heard her mothers choked cries.
"I know Cheryl, I know, what's worse is hes now missing! Just how are we supposed to tell Rhin and Adien?" Her fathers voice was emotionless, not even a hint of saddeness.
Her eyes had widen when she heard the news. Quietly and quickly she had ran up to her room. Wiping the tears that had been rolling down her face.
Just how could he break his promise? How could he leave her?
She made a vow that night she would never forgive him, and always be there for her little brother, Adien.
Over time her heart healed, she met all kinds of people at Hogwarts. She had made friends that would last a life time and even found her soulmate. But her heart still had a hole when she had figured out what had happened to him.
He was trying to protect them all, and most importantly her. She chided herself for so being so irrational, and made a new vow; She would return her brother home, even if it ment her life.
Now 17 year-old Rhinna, about to take on her biggest threat.
"Hey, you ready?" Turning her head around, the Slytherin looked at her good friend Merula. Rhinna gave a nod. "Ready as I'll ever be."
