Yay! Another senseless poem! Written on a whim. Fred/George after the end.

It was our dream

To build a new republic

To watch the buildings fall

Until the stars could sing

And though our eyes may fail

And our hearts my tremble

I know the truth

Of where you've been

And where you're going

Carry on my angel

For what you've done to me

And what you've done for those

Who I knew could never speak

A thousand feathered roses

Fell to my knees that night

If reason could have heard me

I'd only scream your name

But light does not consume

And darkness hates to hide

So heaven be my guide

And ice the foot of roads

Rivers who run wide

It was our dream

To stack the willows high

To move about the universe

On the lips of those

Who knew you

Who loved you

Who could not have said they do

For no longer can I count

The numbers of your name

And dream that you have shattered

Means nothing to me now

My fate lies far beyond

The shadow of your doom

But in my heart I see

The hole that's all you left

So carry on my angel

'Cause that's what you mean to me

A shard of glass in my night sky

That beckons for me to die.

Maybe next time I'll write a more literal poem...
