I just thought of this, wondering what would happen if inuyasha choose kikyou instead of Kagome and what his thoughts turned out to be. Might be some mistakes but its my first time :

My deceit didn't work for
Shielding my heart from hurt

And in the end
We find we're friends

Behind your known disguise
You already know I'm aware of the truth

It's easier to drown ourselves
In self pity and the tears we cry

Trying to keep feelings
Tucked tight under a lid
We both hid it all away
Using lies and silence for what we did

I gave away my heart
You accepted all my lies
I took offense from the start
You began asking why
We kept trying to fool each other
But we both could see right through
I thought you didn't care about me
You thought I lied about loving you

But in the end I hope...
We'll still be good friends...
