This is intended to be a one-shot story, however, I will write more on it if you think it will be helpful to

understanding what is going on. Very short.

Facing the Future Alone

The girl smiled bitterly as she begged an answer of any listening spirit that they might give her

solace for the events that had led to the shattering of her heart. Every day for the past week she had asked

the question again.

"Why? Why him? He was young. He was innocence, hope and my light. His heart was pure as

crystal. Never thinking of himself, that was his downfall. He deserved better, he deserved to live." Sobbed

the young girl. "WHHHHYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!" she screamed as all of her agony burst forth. She sank to

her knees in front of the granite tombstone, crying as if her heart would break. But it already had. Her

storm of tears soaked into the ground, leaving a small damp spot and red eyed child as the only proof of

their existence.

****Flashback****

"Kari," shouted the blue-eyed blond joyfully, "I missed you!"

"TK, you saw me a half-hour ago in school." replied the brunette laughingly. T.K had asked her to

meet him for a surprise.

"So?" pouted the boy, "I missed you anyway." Takeru grinned mischievously. "Oh Kari, what

would you say if I had front row tickets to Queen and wanted you to accompany me to the concert in

Tokyo?

Kari squealed with delight. "I`d say we better hurry as they begin playing in seventy-five

minuets."

***After the concert***

"That was wonderful T.K." murmured Kari as she snuggled up to her koi. "I hope we can do that

again soon."

"Me too." replied Takeru.
The two continued conversing the entire way home in the cab. They arrived at Kari`s house and

T.K. gave her a hug good-bye.

"See you tomorrow." called Kari over her shoulder.

"See ya." Replied Takeru flashing his trademark grin.

**Present Time**

That was the last time she had seen the boy, alive. If only, those two simple words tormented the

poor girl. If only he hadn't been so observant. If only he hadn't gone out of his way to save that kid. If

only she had told him her true feelings, said she loved him before he died…

Abruptly her thoughts turned to the boy's brother. The two of them would survive, together. Each

had lost the most important thing in their lives. T.K. would want them to move on. She would, but she

would not ever love another.
