"Well Charlie, this has been a real interesting week". Said Teddy. "It all started with a trip to the mall"….

Flashback to one week ago, Teddy's POV

"Teddy how does this dress look", asks Ivy. "This so is the dress, you have to buy it", I say. "I know, it's totally my style". Ivy says, and then buys the dress.

We are at the Denver mall, looking for dresses to the dance on Friday. We've been here for 3 hours and only Ivy has found something. The dress she got was a leopard print mini, which really suits her.

"Let's go to one more shop then call it a day", I say."OK". We walk out of Forever 21 and walk to Quiz (they're actual shops). We walk around and I find the perfect dress. It's violet with a silvery pattern on the front."I'm getting this Ivy". "You should, it's pretty". Then I go to the cashier to buy the dress.

"That will be $89.99, please pay in cash, and since you spent $50 you get a free entry for the competition of winning $1000000", says the cashier in a perky voice. "Um, ok" I say, and give her a $100. "OK, all you need to do is sign the paper with your name and phone number, and here is your change", says the cashier, while giving me my change and a slip of paper with a pen. I sign the paper and give it back, and grab the shopping bag. She puts the piece of paper into a crate filled with forms.

Yea right I'll win the contest, there must be at least a hundred thousand entries. Ivy and I both go home then.

Skip 2 days

I walk back home from school and go to my room; I decided to have a lazy hour. As I walk into my room, I throw my bag on the basement couch, though I take my phone with me to the room. I just lay down on my bed for 30 minutes, until I get a call.

"Hello?" I say. "Hello Ms. Teddy Duncan, Congratulations", the person says. I answer back with a "1: who are you? 2: congrats on what?". "1: I'm Maria Frances, the public director of the Denver Mall. 2: congratulations, you won $1000000 from that competition in the mall"."WHAT, are you just prank calling?". "I would not prank call with something like this, you really won $1000000, so go to the mall at 7:00 and we'll give you your prize", she says. "Wait, so I actually WON?" "Yes I said that already, anyways I'm busy so I've got to go." she says and closes her phone. Wow I did not see that coming.

I run upstairs, and to the kitchen where my mom is. "Mom, you will never believe what just happened". She answers with a "is this important, I'm trying to frost this cake". "1: why are you frosting a cake? 2: yes this is way more important." "Well excuse me for frosting a cake for fun, but anyways go on with your "important" news". "You will never believe this mom, but I –". "I bet its nothing but go on anyways", she interrupts. "I'm trying to tell you but you are interrupting me. So my news is….. I won $1000000!". "Is it April fools day already", mom asks. "No mom I'm serious!""Wait, y-you actually won $1000000?""YES", I answer. Then she faints.
