"Here comes security," Parker says.
"We need a reason to still be here," Hardison says, looking around for an escape that doesn't involve angry gun-wielding guards.
Parker rolls her eyes. She swiftly pushes herself against the wall, pulling him against her.
"Wha-" he begins. But suddenly her lips are pressing against his, and world slows down around them.
When he feels a tap on the back, he begrudgingly pulls away.
"Sorry to disturb you and your girlfriend, sir," the guard says, "but did you happen to see a couple fugitives run by?"
Hardison clears his throat, "Yeah, actually, I think I did. Which way did they go, Shelia?"
"That way, I think," Parker says, albeit a bit breathlessly.
The guards nod their thanks and dash off in the indicated direction.
"Can we, uh, return to the pretend make-out?" Hardison asks, a goofy grin across his face.
Parker shrugs. "Who's pretending?"
Hardison sputters, but still manages to draw her lips back to his.
That grin doesn't leave his face until many hours later.
