The sun was setting over the ridge to the west burning a bloody red haze across the sky and giving her lithe figure a demonic cast as she stood in silhouette. The day had been warm and a light breeze still played with the snaking tendrils of her long hair, tossing it hither and yon about her face.
His eyes watched, stoking her with his gaze, and she shivered. "It's getting' a might chilly, Li'l Albatross, you might want to be getting dressed."
He felt a fierce male pride when she turned to him and the crimson sky outlined her pert nipples and gently swelling belly. "It wasn't the chill," she admonishes as her hand gently cups the growing roundness making him twitch with desire. "You were thinking…" She smirks as she twirls her fingers around the slight indention of her belly button.
"That I was," he grinned, "And did you like what I was thinkin' on, Li'l hellion?"
"Hellion," she questioned with a raise eyebrow, "A few minutes ago you were praying at my alter and now you call me hellion?"
"Ain't decided yet if I'm in heaven or hell," Mal shrugged as he rolled to his feet and slowly made his way to her side. Bending he took a pert nipple into his mouth swirling his tongue around it before letting his teeth graze her flesh causing her to gasp and press her lower body closer to his. "Heaven," he murmured.
"Simon and the others will be looking for us," River laughed as she tried to step away.
"And then theirs hell," Mal groaned, catching her to his chest again. "Doc is gonna do more than call names and swing a fist in my direction for this last bit of mischief I got you caught up in."
"I love you," she sighed, smiling as she traced her fingertips over Mal's lips. "Simon will come around, but you'll have to roll with the punches."
"There you go again…Heaven and Hell." Mal's words were muttered as he pressed his lips over her heart.
"Either way," she murmured, cradling his head to her breast as Mal ran his tongue around her expectant nipple and then treated it to an almost painful suckling pull of his lips, "You'll worship."
"That I will," he chuckled as he knelt at her delicate bare feet to worship, placing a chaste kiss on her rounded belly, before pressing his lips to her hipbone. "One thing is sure, Darlin'," Mal whispered, shifting his left arm across her lower back as he her belly, "This here is a bitty angel."
River smiled down at Mal ruefully threading her fingers through his hair, "They," she told him.
"They," he questioned, confused. Mal's stunned gaze rose to hers as realization struck.
"Heaven or Hell," she asked bending to kiss his lips.
"Well," Mal murmured as he cupped her cheek, "Maybe this is that Special Hell everyone keeps tryin' to send me off to..."
