It was supposed to be a quiet day where Lucy could read her book while enjoying her orange juice. The rest of the girls would sit on the same table, chatting randomly. It was quiet, until Levy started all of this.
"You know, Lu-chan," Levy grinned slyly.
"Y-yeah?" Lucy said, Levy's grin, the mischief in her eyes; it was definitely bound to trouble.
"Have you ever noticed that you and Jet makes a good couple?"
Lucy choked on her orange juice she was drinking, resulting into coughing fits.
"W-what?" Lucy said weakly.
"Levy, are you perhaps...drunk?" Erza sweatdropped, the bookworm's choice happened to be quite... incompatible.
"Then how about Droy?"
Thankfully, she wasn't drinking her orange juice this time, but that didn't stop her from having a horrified look on her face.
"I always think you and Elfman make a good couple!" Mira piped in the conversation cheerfully.
Lucy ended up banging her head on the table with Erza stroking her back in pity.
"Lucy and Bixlow actually looks cute together," Lisanna said, noticing the weird stares, she immediately added, "I mean, come on! They both like to cosplay!"
"That actually makes sense," Erza acknowledged; the only sane person in the table have gone to the opposing side.
"No it does not! I do not cosplay!" Lucy shrieked. But sadly, the girls ignored her.
"I always thought that Lucy-san and Reedus-san looked good together," Wendy admitted shyly; even the shy and sweet Wendy has gone insane? Lucy groaned.
"How about Lucy and Happy?" Bisca suggested casually.
"HE'S A FREAKING CAT!" Lucy shouted.
"I think Lucy and Ichiya would look nice." Erza admitted.
Silence.
That was the worst possible suggestion Lucy have ever heard in her entire life.
"What?"
No one spoke.
"Watcha talking about?" Natsu (Thankfully) broke the awkward silence, grinning widely.
"We're talking about who Lucy-san might look good with," Wendy explained.
"I know! How about Lucy and the guy who owned Virgo! They look cute together don't they?" Happy chirped happily, resulting Lucy to make a huge bump on his head.
"Why not your bull spirit?" Gray suggested coolly, "You seem to be the type to like strong gu-"
"THAT'S EVEN WORSE!"
"Oh! I know who suits best with Lucy!" Natsu cheered excitedly.
"And that is?" Mira urged.
Natsu grinned, "Master! They make a good couple! Don't you think so Happy?"
"A-aye!" Happy chirped nervously. Come on! Even the cat knows better!
Scratch that, there was actually something worser than that.
That day, she learned to never trust Natsu's matchmaking ability.
