The last remnants of light lingered shortly it would be a while till the night completely took over but needless to say it was still creeping through the darkest allies biding its time till the sun had completely set, it was however dark enough to hide the fact that a young lady of sorts had suddenly appeared in the shadows of a run down and completely inhospitable house, well that's how it would appear to some.

It had been raining earlier that day, the sky was murky and the air heavy and humid but the temperature was slowly rising and it was clear that it was to be a rather unpleasant night she noted this with satisfaction the weather or indeed changes that may occur because of it did not effect her, years of abuse on all parts had taught her to be strong, toughened her up and made her cold. She could remember her childhood as if she was still living it, a scrap of a child she had been a loner she hadn't known friendship or love and had withdrawn into a shell were no one could hurt her and of course that included her family as well, they had convinced her that her life was not worth living and that she would never be loved and accepted for who she was and she had been naive enough to believe them. Ha she had shown them they had reduced her to nothing and in turn she had done the exact same thing to them.

Even to her eyes the house was dark and damp and had the appearance of once been well looked after, what a shame one just didn't find architecture like this anymore swinging the gate open with a loud unintended screech she stepped onto the porch which was slightly rotten and overrun with weeds and the like all in all it didn't do much to sway her from dark thoughts of long ago owners. Only half expecting the door to be answered she knocked rather harshly and took a few startled steps back when the door swung open to reveal an immaculate but rather dark hallway, there was she noted a hat stand in the corner with a rather tatty robe and a knobbly handled umbrella ....so somebody did live here, shed thought that those insufferable lawyers had just given her this address to get rid of her.

stepping forward she tried the hallway door as this was the only door in sight it seemed sensible to start there although this did feel like trespassing she continued on only to find her first obstacle the door was locked, silently cursing she tried knocking once again. This time she had success even though the door seemed to move away before she could touch it and was replaced by a rather squishy surface which she realised seconds too late that what she had 'knocked on' was a nose belonging to a slightly startled young man.
