The dragons of gold
The dragons of bonze
The dragons of green
The dragons of blue
The dragons of brown
The colours of dragons
Oh what a sight they are to see
They spin they twirl they fly high in the sky
Today is the day the eggs will hatch
Holders come here to Benden Weyr
To see the dragons hatch today
The excitement the joy the fun of it all
For me today I hope to meet a dragon
Not of gold not of bronze not of green but blue
I think there the greatest of all the colours
I sit here and think where I would be without F'nor
He found me he saved me from the fear of thread
He picked me up from the ground and took me on dragon wings
Now I hope to see the day where a dragon looks to me
On day I hope to ride the wind
On top a dragon with sprits on high

I sit here in my shell waiting for my time to come
I wait for months I wait for days let's just wait one more hour
When the time has come I will burst from my shell
And claim my rider I shall do from those who are around me
Will my life be long will it be short
Will I be respected or will I be rejected
The life my rider has lived will change forever
Her life will be so beautiful so full so grand
But me a blue that's who I am
Even thought I am not brown or gold or bronze
My rider will have no other.
