There was a time
There was a time when one look of you could make my skin crawl.
I used to hate the way you looked at me, because it always felt as if you looked right through it.
There was a time when one word out of your mouth, could make my whole world crumble,
because every word seemed to get right under my skin.
There was a time when one touch of you turned everything upside down.
Because your touch was as cold as ice, and I froze inside every time you touched me.
There was a time when I dreaded school because of you, although it was the only home I ever had
Because with you; it always seemed tainted.
There was a time when I hated you with all I had.
There was a time I should have leaped for joy, for you were gone.
But I found myself completely drained.
There was a time; that my friends started to worry.
Because I had not eaten in days, not knowing that I did not need food, that I needed you.
There was a time that I realized that your looks made my skin crawl,
because you could look right through me, you looked into my heart and soul and saw everything.
There was a time when your words did make my world crumble, b
because you knew the truth and you spoke it.
There was a time when I longed for your icy touch for it would make me feel alive.
There was a time when I hated school, because without you it was even less of a home.
There was a time when I missed you with all my heart.
There was a time when I opened my room and found you there so silent, so still and I just went up to your side and sat down.
Your look cut right through me,
Your words peeled my protection away
Your touch burned like fire on my skin.
There was a time when no more questions were asked.
I finally had found my home.
This was the time I realized,
I love you !
