Astrid's POV
Off flying away on stormfly around to the academy to get ready for the course hiccup was going to put her and the rest of the gang through, surely enough time to get there first she sees hiccup talking to the chief aka stoic (the going to be the father in law) hiccup looks at stoic with a tense and gentle look on his face , but something caught her eye , it's something shiny and beautiful with stoic getting in the way of the view astrid moves her and stormfly around the corner above the cage , where she hears stoic laughing and hugging him even though hiccup is the small he can handle himself , but as soon as stoic clasped a hand on hiccups shoulder he dropped it , she was to far to see it but it was not was she was expecting its reflecting the sun but it looked like a ring or a bracelet not quite sure she held her position and kept in the shade not knowing someone was creeping up behind her "so watch ya looking at " at that moment she nearly had a heart attack . Knowing ruffnut being the only other female in the group of course she would sneak up into other people's business " nothing" replied astrid but her attention moved back onto the dome not see hiccup or stoic , "hello milady" hiccup didn't mean to scare both girls know one would punch him to death and the other would do the exact same thing but be more gentle , both girls having been both scared to death it was time to start training. Everybody meeting up on a lonely island only a few lakes and rivers away we started of with fastest speed , snotlout alway the big headed one first and his unco-operative dragon hookfang trying to kill him he survives the first exercise then goes the twins, fishlegs and the astrid
Hiccup's POV
As I'm sitting on toothless thinking how beautiful she is and how this is going to romantically play out seeing her dash through all the trees doing cartwheels on stormfly and finally the finish stormfly throwing her spikes to make a ladder for astrid to climb up jumping up and finished her turn winking at me "good luck" astrid know that the night fury is one of the best dragons hiccup dives straight down to the water only floating above it doing some trick to keep the "wow" factor up and finishing it with a light show .
With today's training , I pack up my gear and catch up with astrid and stormfly wanting to talk to her about her joining up for dinner at the hall tonight , of course she accepted, and nearly pulling me off toothless once the rest of the riders were out of sight she gave me a kiss on the cheek and a punch in the arm , thinking to myself 'always gets me in the same place every time'. Dashing off to meet gobber at the metalworks and carry on with the plans of perposing to astrid , hiccup got his fathers wishes now he need to see astrid father about getting his wish for his daughter, knowing astrid she'll be throw her axe at the tree Now's the perfect time to ask
