Severus Snape sat on a couch in his rooms at Hogwarts, a closed book next to him. Thoughts ran through his mind at lightning speed, thoughts of his family; his wife and six daughters.
His wife was born Lily Evans, a fiery red headed, green eyes witch. Despite house differences, they'd grown extremely close before marrying each other the day after graduation. Severus had gone into a course to become a Potions Master, something that if he'd passed he would be the youngest ever, whilst Lily worked to try and get better rights for magical creatures.
It wasn't even two months into their marriage when Lily became pregnant with a girl. The girl, once born, was named Idia, and was a black haired, black eyed pale girl. By this time Severus had got his Mastership and a job as Potions Master at Hogwarts. He accepted therefore he, Lily and Idia moved into his rooms.
Idia was a natural dancer and singer, entertaining members of staff and students. She was six when Mist and Shadow were born.
Mist and Shadow were identical twin girls, looking just like their mother, cheeky talented girls with a natural ability for art, they adored their elder sister, who in return adored them.
They were six and Idia was twelve when Janice was born. Janice was a perfect mixture of her parents. the hair from her father and the eyes from her mother.
The big family of four children became bigger when six years later Ali was born. Idia was eighteen, the Twins twelve and Janice 6 when she was born. Finally another five years later Helena was born. This time Idia was twenty three, the Twins seventeen, Janice eleven and Ali five. Finally Lily had stopped having children.
During those old enough's time at Hogwarts as students, they'd been mixed in diffent houses, Idia a Slytherin, the Twins Ravenclaws, Janice a Gryffindor, Ali a Hufflepuff and Helena another Ravenclaw.
After Hogwarts Idia had become a singer and Healer, Mist also a Healer, Shadow a charms Mistress, Janice an Auror as well as Ali and Helena had become a Potions Mistress.
Looking back at the memories Severus began feeling old, especially when the Grandchildren were round.
