I don't own InuYasha
I don't own InuYasha. If I did, life would be awesome.
Truly, Madly, Deeply
Kagome looked down into the dark depths of the well. Had it really been two years since she last saw him? Her head swarmed with memories and her heart broke once more. Her mother was sending her to live with her cousin in America; she believed Kagome needed a change of scenery. The young woman touched the necklace the was around her neck. It wasn't really a necklace; a strong piece of string with a fang on it. She had woken up with it there one day, and could never figure out how to take it off. Not that she wanted to…
A teenage boy was watching his sister's heart break. Every time she looked at the well, she saw HIM. The man that had stolen her heart and broken it more than once. Next time he saw HIM he was going to kick his ass into next week. Maybe farther. He was that pissed. He had looked up to this guy and he was necrophilia?! He shook his head and went to go talk to his sister.
The young woman felt someone tug on her sleeve and when she looked she saw her younger brother. He had his sympathetic/pity face on. She slapped his hand away and said, Ï don't need those looks you're giving me! I'm fine! You got it! Fine!" she ran from the well house to the sacred tree and began to cry. She looked up at the scar on the tree and let the dam break. Nobody could ever replace InuYasha, her best friend, the man- no Hanyou she will always love. At fifteen she had
Faced more wars than any girl should have to. The jewel was back in her body, and she couldn't get through the well. 'InuYasha… I miss you…'Kagome felt something brush against her arm and she jumped. 'InuYasha?!' she said aloud, her voice shaky. She went still, but it didn't happen again.
Megumi Higurashi watched her daughter's body be overcome with sobs. She knew her daughter would miss him, but he wasn't right for her. He was insensitive, brash, and rude and called her names. She needed a boy like Hojo, and if she had to she was going to form an arranged marriage! But, she was going to send her daughter to America. She would go live with her cousin until she came to her senses. She shook her head and continued cleaning the dishes.
Grandpa Higurashi looked at his grand daughter from the store house. She was missing that rude young hanyou. He didn't care what his grand son or daughter thought, he was going to find him and let his grand daughter be happy! He put away the last box and grabbed his keys. 'Kagome! Get your bags! We're leaving!' His only grand daughter trudged into the house and came down with a backpack and a single suitcase; looked at the tree and then the well before walking to the car. He looked at her in his rearview mirror and saw grey eyes become dull, and she didn't smile. She placed her forehead against the window; her breath steaming up the glass. The entire ride to the airport was silent, and she walked to her gate with her head down, shoulders slumped. It was going to be hard to get used to life without HIM. But she would get through it. At least he hoped so.
