As Link was travelling around, gathering materials and whatnot, he stumbled upon a strange looking stone. This stone was floating, unlike all the other such things he'd encountered, and it glowed with a strange orange light, with pitch black shadows surrounding this. Not knowing what it was, he naturally grabbed it. The moment his hand touched it, however, searing pain coursed through his body, and he pulled back his hand - or tried to - but noticed that the stone was being absorbed by his body, and that wasn't the only thing he noticed. He didn't get a chance to focus on it, as the amount of pain finally brought him to all fours, and when the pain passed, he collapsed, as exhausted as if he'd tried to climb a mountain that was too high for him to climb without a break. He closed his eyes, but not before he noticed a shadowy figure ascend from his own shadow and look at him, the last thing he heard being, "Oh great ..." Then, there was nothing but darkness as he lost consciousness.
"Oh great ... " said Midna, looking down at the new doggy before her, "now I've got another person to look after ..." She sighed, then sat down to wait for her new companion to awaken. Still, there is something odd about this one ... She thought as she considered the form beside her. It was a wolf, true, and she was used to Link being turned into such, but this one wasn't like her usual shape-changing friend. Where her original Wolf Link was black with white patterning, this one was white with blue patterning, his paws were brown, and part of his fur was in a bun with chopsticks holding it up. Midna looked to the sky, and watched as the time passed from morning, to noon, to night, to morning again, for the next two days. At noon on the second day, Link, in his wolf form stirred, causing Midna to say, "Finally! Now I get to mess with your head like I did the previous doggy hero."
When Link came to, the first thing he heard was, "...ly! Now I get to mess with your head like I did the previous doggy hero." He decided to ignore this and slowly got up on all fours, which strangely felt more natural than being on just his hind legs. Wait, when did I have hind legs? he thought, when he turned around and noticed that he now had fur where his clothing and skin was - which was pretty much everywhere - his weapons were gone, and there was an imp-like shadow standing over him.
