The story goes, from what I can recall, is when Edward left Forks and fled to Alaska in the first book to get away from Bella, he never came back. They never fell in love and Bella graduated High School. After she graduated she went to a college/got a job in (Chicago I believe) and; after meeting each other again; they fell in love. Bella-HUMAN, Edward-VAMP. Has OCs (From what I can recall).
I apologize for my lack of details, it has been quite a while since I first read this story.
*UPDATE*
I remember a part in the story where Edward is planning to tell Bella that he is a vampire, but on her way to meet him at his house (the house he lived in when he was human, from what I recall) Bella gets into a car accident on her way there. She is then taken to the very hospital where Edward "died" from the Spanish Influenza epidemic.
^Could be apart of the same story, could not be. But when I remember this FanFic this scene comes to mind.
