He woke to find his head on the floor and no knowledge of how he had gotten there. Pulling his head off of the floor he looked up and found himself face to face with the round faced, blue haired boy, Zexion. He saw the worried expression the boy's face and he figured he had been passed out for several hours if not longer.
"Do you know what happened to me?" he asked the boy.
"I really don't I walked into your room to find you passed out on the floor and i figured you had been that way for awhile considering you hit your head and the blood had already dried. I picked your head up and cleaned the blood for you, but i couldn't risk moving you in case you were majorly hurt. I couldn't get it out of the carpet either...." he said with a slight smirk that made the other boy want to laugh, but for the throbbing pain on the left side of his head.
Demyx's dirty blonde hair was falling down either side of his face as he propped himself up onto his elbow. He noticed that the bloodstain on the floor and the place his head had been situated, was by the edge of the long chest at the end of his bed. He must have hit his head when he had passed out. He remembered it now, what happened before. He had gone to visit Luxord after finding out that Axel had been sent on a three year mission and never even came back to say goodbye. He thought Axel had loved him enough to, at least, tell him that he was leaving! He must have gotten drunk or something, because he never even remembered coming back to his room.
Zexion had seen the look of contemplation on Demyx's face and it was enough of a distant look for him to wonder what the other boy was thinking. Reaching into the other boy's mind, he found a very sad, lost, lonely, and confused child. He pulled the smaller boy close to him and held him there for awhile.
Demyx felt Zexion reach his mind and he let his true emotions show to the older boy. He let him pull him close as the tears of loneliness and confusion welled in his eyes. He sobbed into the older boy's shirt for the longest while. He was suffering so much pain for the loss of his one and pretty much only companion, that the minutes passed like seconds and the hours passed like minutes. He still had no idea what time it was when he finally stopped crying.
Both of them sat there for quite awhile and Zexion held Demyx up until the point where he stopped crying.
"I will always be there for you, my love." whispered Zexion before catching Demyx's lips in a tentative yet passionate kiss.
They both pulled away and with puffy eyes, a smile reached the younger boy's lips. Lifting himself off the floor, with the help of Zexion's steady hand, the older boy walked him to the bed before laying him down and crawling in next to him and whispering, "I'm always here."
