"Hey Evans! Evans!" Lily had already learned to hate that voice. And more of it, its owner.
She didn't turn, she didn't stop, she kept on going for her way deigning to answer only with an offhandedly: "get lost, Potter!"
James Potter wasn't a yielding guy. And Lily understood this.
James Potter wasn't a modest guy. And Lily understood this.
James Potter was that kind of person who made you desire to hit your head against a wall every time his arrogant smile crossed your path. And Lily surrendered to this.
James Potter was presumptuous, arrogant and spoilt. And Lily couldn't accept this.
"Come on Evans... let me just finish to talk!" he grumbled, following her through the aisle.
"Potter, listen to me: I know what you're going to ask me, and you know what I would answer, but if it's not clear to you I'll repeat it for the next time: NO. I wouldn't date you, not even if you were the last man on earth! I wouldn't give a damn about species continuation!" she got annoyed.
"Evans?" Lily didn't let him go on.
"And stop following me! I hate you, you're the most annoying boy I've ever met in my whole life... leave me in peace!"
"Evans look, I'm not following you, I called you just to warn you that..." he didn't end the sentence, shaken by laughs. Lily's patience was definitely come to an end.
"You're just a silly kid!" she hissed, with her face red for the anger.
"Yes, yes... but you could keep insulting me after you removed the piece of toilet paper stuck on your bottom, couldn't you? Is it okay to you?"
Lily Evans was the most heedless girl at Hogwarts. And James adored this.
