Author's Note: I feel very conversational today. And as none of my oh-so-considerate friends seem to have time for me, I decided to write a little dialogue. Hope it turned out all right and you enjoy it. If I'm lucky and if I get a few reviews, I might write some more soon...
I posted this in my Drabble Fanfic "Expecting me, naturally" at first but then decided it was slightly OOC but long enough to be a one-shot... Enjoy, though!
Jasper is bored and wants Alice to distract him. Remember: He can influence emotions; she can see the future... so she can see exactly what he has in mind.

POV: One of my very few all dialogue fics

Rating: T (with a little imagination, it might be something like T+)

Era: Twilight

J: "Darling, I am bored."

A: "I knew you'd say that!"

J: "Oh come on, Alice, I really didn't need to hear that …"

A: "Sorry, Jazz … I just don't seem to get tired of it."

J: "Oh I know something else we can't get tired of …"

A: "You have such a one-track mind …"

J: "Two-track at least! Music! – No, three-track: you."

A: "Thanks darling" smiles sweetly

J: "So … any idea what we could do? Where are the others, anyway?"

A: "Em and Rose are … somewhere … and I really do not want to know –"

J: "Although you do know, of course."

A: "Let me rephrase this. I really do not want to think about what they're up to."

J: "I get it. Me either. Where's Edward? We could play something …"

A: "Don't you ever get tired of those instruments? Let's go to the mall or something –"

J: "Don't you ever get tired of those clothes, darling?" smirks

A: "Touché."

J: "So, where is our beloved brother?"

A: "He is umm … stalking Bella, I think."

J: "The human girl? Oh …"

A: "Oh I can't wait to finally get to know her for real! And he just won't let me … it's so annoying …"

J: "Well at least you know you will get to know her sometime. Can't be long till he brings her here first time, can it?"

A: "No, about a week from now. But that kind of makes the anticipation worse …"

J: "That's my silver line. Distraction! What are Carlisle and Esme doing?"

A: "They're going to be busy talking for another three hours. How long do you think it'll take Edward to realize he's not going to get rid of Bella again?"

J: "Um – ages?"

A: "Yes, probably. But I really am looking forward to when he does …" smiles absently

J: "Well, I notice we did not finish our former discussion. Seeing as all our family is out of the house … and probably will be for a while …"

A: "I know what you're getting to!"

J: "Oh come on, darling, I know that you'll like –" throws her a meaningful glance as he thinks of a new plan

A: "Ah… interesting idea actually …" closes her eyes in concentration

J: "I mean, we could as well –"

A: "Hmm … yes …"

J: "Or … um …"

A: "Oh!"

J: "But if you'd rather play chess or something …"

A: "Aw, I'd win anyway. That'd be boring."

J: "Not necessarily, darling. I might confuse you."

A: "You confuse me with different plans right now."

J: "I aim to, my lady."

A: "And it seems to work." wrinkles her nose slightly

J: "I aim for this as well…" smirks again

A: "And I actually wanted to – oh gods, Jazz! You're cheating! Don't use that emotion on me…"

J: "Well, am I succeeding?"

A: "I… ah… think so…"

J: "Then that's worth cheating. So, may I escort you to our quarters?"

A: "Yes, sir."
