Broken pair of glasses (as in the eye wear)

Book/scrolls of Pythia

Saying needed in it

"I'm so sorry Laura."

Enjoy people!)

"Put your weapon down captain." That gruff voice full of authority once again.

Lee slowly lowered his weapon as his father walked towards him. Laura stood there as father and son hugged, feeling a little guilty about splitting them up in such a horrible time.

"Commander." A sign of recognition.

"It's good to see you." Was it really?

"Madame President?" Her head shot sideways, knowing that voice in an instant.

In a mere whisper. "Billy... Billy you have no idea what it means to me to have you here."

"It's good to see you too."

Adama noticed Starbuck standing close by and walked up to her. He tucked a stray hair behind her ear just as Tyrol saw Sharon walk out from behind a tree.

"Commander!"

"She's with us Commander." assured Helo.

Bill stalked over to Sharon, eyeing her out the entire time. Struck by the similarities. It was her as far as he could tell it WAS Boomer. He remembered what she had done. He had asked her why.

All of a sudden he grabbed her by the throat and slammed her to the ground.

"Commander NO! No don't" He could hear the President yell.

His son and the President attempted to pull him off, others later joined in.

"I want you to die." He growled into Sharon's face.

"Commander... Commander please, don't, we need her." For what??

"Commander? Commander you gotta let her go." Begged Helo.

"Die..."

Sir?" Helo pleaded. Just as Sharaon was about to give up, Bill felt a sharp pain in his chest and released her.

"Dad?" Lee reached for his father, but he fell on top of Sharon.

"And you ask why?"

--

They were sitting under her tent, her on her knees, him with his legs stretched out.

"You interfered with a military mission and you broke your word to me."

"It's the second part that really bothers you isn't it?"

"Laura I forgive you."

"Thank you Bill. I didn't ask for your forgiveness."

"Well you have it anyway."

"Well I doubt I will need it but as I said, thank you."

"You sound a little bitter." He noticed.

"No, just a bit fed up, I s'pose." She looked tired. "I guess you've heard by now."

He looked up at her.

"Heard what?" He could honestly say he had no idea what she was talking about, that was until he saw the look in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry Laura."

"Sorry? Don't be. I'm going to die soon, there isn't much to it." She gave a weak smile.

He didn't know what to say really, he knew she might have been sick, but cancer? Terminal cancer? She never once mentioned it or let on. She is a politician. Should have been a frakking actress. He thought.

"So... that gunna help you find Earth?" He gestured towards the book in her hand.

"Yes, the book of Pythia tells the way so I'm listening." She tapped the book to her ear a couple of times.

"I couldn't listen if I tried."

"Why not?" she asked.

"Broke my glasses." he grumbled.

She looked at him, humour evident in her eyes.

"You broke your glasses?" He nodded. "How on Kobol did you manage that?" she smirked.

"When Boomer shot me, they must have fallen off my face and apparently Saul stepped on them." Her face dropped. He ignored her and went on. "He said he feels horrible.' Bill snorted. "Yeah right, I can practically hear him laughing from here." She smiled at him. Always trying to make the best out of a terrible situation. She thought.

"So Commander, when we find the map to Earth, will I be allowed back on your ship with my muddy shoes?"

(You have no idea how many times I wrote Admiral instead of Commander and had to go back and change it. Please review )
