Timely Intervention
Disclaimer: I own nothing but what you see here. And warning for potential spoilers. This is a Fix-It fic for 'The Wrath of Savitar' cause TO HELL WITH WHAT HAPPENED WITH WALLY!
As Barry and the others watched in horror as Wally was held against the portal and his Speed Suit tearing off of him, the red clad Speedster could faintly hear Jesse's horrified sobbing and had a feeling Joe and Iris were about to be doing the same before long. "Barry! Help!" Came the terrified and pleading voice of Wally as he struggled to get free.
But all Barry could do was stand where he was in horror. As if his legs were suddenly filled with lead and he just couldn't move no matter what. "I'm coming, Barry Allen!" Came the honestly terrifying voice of Savitar.
Wally could even feel the self proclaimed Speed God's hand touching him from behind and it made him feel even more terrified then before as he tried valiantly to get free from the being. "BARRY!"
Barry began trying with all his might to make himself move his lead lined legs as more of Wally's suit was torn off. But then, a miracle that none of them were expecting to happen happened. As another portal opened and out came a streak of lightning that snatched Wally from the clutches of Savitar just as a tearful Jesse arrived on the scene. Hoping and praying she wasn't too late and being rather stunned to see her boyfriend safe and sound thanks to one Jay Garrick! "WHAT!? NOOO! I WILL NOT BE DENIED!" Came the angry voice of Savitar as the portal began to close in on him until it was no more.
Leaving only his clawed hand behind thanks to the portal being severed. "WALLY!" Cried Jesse as she rushed to him and hugged the life out of him in tears.
The youngster was also in tears himself as he held the girl he cares so much about close to his body. Never wanting to let go as a stunned Barry looked to Jay. Who was giving the couple a smile. "How… How did…?" Tried to ask the red clad Speedster but he found himself unable to get it out fully.
Jay turned to him while eying the severed hand warily. "A friend on my Earth, who's something of a Stranger, informed me of what was going on. Made it pretty clear that bad things would happen if I didn't intervene."
"I'll buy him a drink for savin' my ass!" Declared Wally as he looked towards Jay while still hugging Jesse tightly to him and her with him.
"Oh God… Was so scared I was gonna lose you." Murmured Jesse tearfully as she looked up at him.
Wally looked right into her eyes as he pushed back a lock of hair from them. "Never gonna lose me." He told her firmly and then kissed her.
A kiss she melted into as she kissed him back, showing him everything she felt in it as she did. "I owe you. You and your friend more then I can say." Stated Barry seriously.
"You don't owe us anything."
Despite the firm response, Barry still felt he owed Jay and his friend regardless. As otherwise… They would have lost Wally and Savitar would have been free. A reality that was beyond horrible in the red clad Speedster's mind as he heard cheering and the like from the others back at the Lab. Something he himself felt like doing even if a part of him felt he had no right but did so anyway by impulsively hugging Jay much to the older man's surprise. Even murmuring a heart felt 'thank you' as he hugged the man. And then hugged Wally and Jesse as he began to cry in relief.
