Lily Evans was a young girl of the age eleven. I suppose her neighbors would call her average, aside when her sister would tell crazy stories about her using magic, or when she hung out with a young boy around her age that seemed most unpleasant. They would always be talking, the two of them. About what, nobody could imagine.
James Potter was far from the usual. He grew up with two magical parents, already knew how to fly a broomstick, and didn't bother with rules. He had everything he could ever want, except he hadn't been on the Quidditch team yet, he hadn't held the record of most pranks pulled at Hogwarts yet, and of course, he hadn't met Lily Evans yet. But James always got what he wanted.
Now the story mostly revolves around these two, and their years in Hogwarts. James infuriated Lily, and James took every chance he had to ask her out. Boys, you know?
Though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell you about the other people of this story, because after all, they make the story too.
Sirius Black was never accepted by his family, but he doesn't care much, or so he lets on. His whole family is in Slytherin, though he'd be perfectly fine with being in Gryffindor. Later on, he meets a boy named James Potter, who soon becomes his best friend, along with a boy named Remus and Peter. The four of them were the troublemakers of the school. It was with them that Sirius finally felt at home.
Remus Lupin had a dark secret. He was mostly afraid that if anyone found out, he'd be hated by his friends and kicked out of school. All he wanted was for people to understand- it wasn't his fault, he didn't mean for bad things to happen during the full moon. But maybe people could see him for what he was when he wasn't a beast: A boy who liked books, and chocolate.
Severus Snape was in love. He'd never been in love before, you know. It didn't matter that Lily Evans was a mudblood. It didn't matter that she put up with that arrogant boy James Potter. All that matters is how he feels when she says his name and how her red hair looks in the sun. He told her that Slytherin was the best house you could be in because who wants to be a stupid Gryffindor, anyway? He just hopes that she isn't sucked in the idiotic ways of Godric Gryffindor.
Peter is misunderstood. He's a bit pudgy and always has been, and always has been described as sort of twitchy. He finally gets in with the cool kids of Hogwarts and tags along with them during their adventures. One day, he'll be better than them. One day, he'll be on top.
They are only kids. What's the worst they can do?
