Reality in Check Chapter 1: Day dreaming
Lonely…Funny how one word can describe my life. It was one normal day, like any other. I had gotten through another day of school, and was walking home, from my best friend's house, Daisy. It was nighttime and the streets were deserted. I was a few houses down from my house, and could tell that my parents weren't home yet from another romantic date they always went on Fridays. I can't believe that my parents are still in love after so many years and by that I mean really, really in love.
I was brought back to reality when I heard tires screeching on the pavement. I looked up and saw two cars slam into each other with such force that the noise was excruciating, one of the cars was a black BMW. The other car was a Volvo, but that black BMW seemed so familiar to me but I couldn't really make out the features of the cars , because they were so destroyed in the front side. But that black BMW I would know anywhere… Oh My Gosh! I gasped it couldn't be. NO NO NO!!!! I started walking towards the car hoping, praying that what I was about to see wouldn't change my entire life forever, I was close now, almost…
"Hello Shy, Shyloh?" someone said
The voice startled me, bringing me back to reality. Taking in my surroundings I remembered that I was outside of my school, sitting on a bench and waiting for Nick to come from his football practice that he always had in the mornings.
"Oh…Hi Nick what's up?" I said giving him a quick peck on the lips.
"You're doing it again" he teased, while sitting down on the bench.
"Doing what?" I asked innocently.
"Daydreaming."
"Oh I wasn't daydreaming I was thinking about… about you." I said as truthfully as I could, but I knew that it wouldn't work, its like he can see right through me.
"You know you can tell me what's wrong with you, right" he said.
"I know it's just that I keep remembering about what happened that day, when I was in eight grade, the car accident and everything else that happened" I said my voice low.
"Shy that was the past, you now you have me. And I will always take care of you no matter what. And also you have and his wife, also they all love you.
Especially me, I'll always love you." He said with so much honesty in his words.
"What would I do without you?" I whispered.
"Nothing cause you'll never be without me" He just smiled, oh that smile, and stood up and extended his hand for me to take. But I was to lazy.
"I'm to lazy to go anywhere" I said, oops I should've never of said that. With that being said he picked me up bridal style and started walking towards the school.
