A/N: Just a short, really really quick almost 100 word bit. Why? Because I still really want to write something (at 2:00 am), I decided to do a single word challenge. This is where I go to my dictionary of every word ever known to man and pick a random word off a random page and write around that. The Word of the Day: nonrelativistic. Ok. Um. Lets try that again. The Real Word of the Day: ravage. Ok. That's a little bit better. Let's try that!
Disclaimer: I work in a grocery store. I get paid six and change per hour. I have only six hundred dollars in my savings account. I obviously write fan fiction in my spare time for no money.
Anita looked at the dark night sky that was lit in orange blaze. This was the second time an entire neighborhood she lived is was completely destroyed by fire. The families she lived near all stood outside together watching the ravaging flames destroy everything they had. Anita was surrounded by her mother and her friends. These same friends had been through this another time before. The only thing they had left was each other. Consuelo and Rosalia linked arms with Anita. Behind the girls, a large group of boys and adults were discussing how long it would take to raise enough funds to go to America.
Things will be better in America. It wasn't a statement. It was a promise.
Just trying something new. I sort of like the random word idea. I dunno. What do you guys think? Should I use a dictionary with a better chance of picking a good word and not one that has something to do with physics? Criticize, comment, or PM! PMs are the best! Thanks guys! Chocolate cheesecake to all of you!
