Hello everyone-I am back! I am so very sorry about not updating, but my
life has been just craziness for the past month or so. Anyway, I have
decided, after a lot of thought, not to continue "This Everyday Love" Quite
honestly, I had a beginning and an end for that story, and no middle, and
no time to think of a middle! I really am sorry......if anyone is really
interested in knowing how it turned out, tell me in a review for this, and
I'll happily tell you.
So, anyway, this is my new fic! I have the entire thing planned out, so it will be updated regularly-slowly, but surely. It is a very different fic, and there are several things you need to know.
-Monica was never fat. -Chandler's father was never gay, but he was rich, and his mother is not the way she is on the show. She's a pretty regular mom. -Chandler and Ross were never roommates.
So this fic picks up during Ross and Chandler's sophomore year at NYU, though you'll realize that in the fic. The summary I gave doesn't really make much sense now, but it will, if you keep reading! ENJOY and PLEASE REVIEW!

Chapter One:
Chandler Bing raced down the hall, tripping over his own feet as he attempted to stay on them. "Scuse me, pardon me," he said breathlessly, as he knocked several people out of his way. "Sorry!" he called back.
He raced out the double doors of the math building and veered around on an icy sidewalk towards the science building. After a chorus of more "excuse me's and sorry's", he finally crashed into the brick wall, keeping his breath just enough to run through the doors, up two flights of stairs and land in his classroom.
"Mr. Bing," Professor Wilson said, smirking. "Nice of you to join us."
"I'm sorry, it's just that-"
"I didn't say I wanted an excuse, Chandler. Sit down, please."
"Sure," Chandler muttered, a red stain spreading from his neck to his face as he noticed the entire class staring at him.
He collapsed into a seat just as a tall guy with an unfortunate afro of curly dark hair leaned over to him. "Ignore Wilson," he whispered kindly. "I had his last semester. A real asshole."
Chandler laughed. "I thought so. I mean, I was only thirty seconds late, barely that."
"Yep, that's what he does," the guy laughed. "I'm Ross Geller, by the way."
"Chandler Bing," Chandler said, extending his hand.
"Mr. Bing!" Professor Wilson said adamantly. "You're late, and now you're talking. Not a great way to start off the semester."
"Sorry," Chandler said, but he laughed under his breath, and Ross joined him.
***
After Professor Wilson's extraordinarily boring science seminar, Chandler found himself with a free period, and discovered that Ross had one as well. "Want to go hang out in the library?" Ross asked.
"Sure," Chandler responded, happy to finally have met someone he could spend free periods with. Since he'd started his sophomore year at NYU, he hadn't really met any friends. He'd had a few friends last year, but after realizing his situation, they'd mostly all moved on. Everyone else seemed to know each other from living in the dorms.
"So," Ross said as they sat down at a table in the library. "You're a sophomore too, right?"
"Yep," Chandler said. "Why else would I be taking Wilson's boring class?"
Ross laughed. "Wilson's a jerk, but I like science. I'd like to be a paleontologist one day, actually."
"Really?" Chandler asked. "I don't know if I could take that much science."
Ross smiled. "What's your major?"
"Advertising," Chandler replied. "I'd like some day to own my own ad company. I'm an intern at one now."
Ross nodded. "That sounds cool," he said. "I work at a museum. You live in the dorms?"
"No," Chandler said quickly, the red stain quickly beginning to climb again. "No, I don't. You?"
"Yep," Ross said. "Somehow I lucked out and didn't get a roommate, though. But my little sister and her best friend, they're freshman here, and roommates too. My mom about demanded that they be in the same building as me so that I could look out for them."
Chandler chuckled. How lucky Ross was, to have only a sister to look out for. "You guys close?" he asked.
Ross smiled. "I guess so. She's a sweetheart, that sister of mine, she'd do anything for just about anyone. For whatever reason, though, my parents always favored me over her. She's had kind of a hard time with that. She's pretty excited to be out on her own, and I just don't want her to make any mistakes, you know? So I guess I'm kind of protective of her."
Chandler smiled. "I never had any brothers or sisters," he said. "But I always thought it'd be nice. My dad died when I was three and my mom just never had the heart to date again."
Ross looked at him sympathetically. "I'm sorry," he said softly.
Chandler smiled at that, realizing what a sheltered life Ross had led. "It's all right," he said. "It was a long time ago."
Ross smiled back, and there was a moment of silence between the two of them before Ross let out a low whistle. "Whew-hew," he said. "Look at that girl over there!"
Chandler turned his head to see a beautiful blond girl sashaying her way through the library crowd, turning heads as she moved inch by inch. "She is gorgeous," Chandler agreed.
Ross grinned. "I could never get a girl like that. But, man, it sure is good to think about it."
Chandler laughed, and Ross continued. "I was single all last year and it sucked big time," he said. "You date around last year?"
Chandler froze momentarily and shook his head. "No," he said quickly. "No, actually I didn't see anybody last year."
"Nobody at all?" Ross said. "You seem like a pretty popular guy."
Chandler shook his head. "Not really," he said softly. "I mean, I had a few friends last year, here and there. But.....I don't know.....I guess I never found anybody that was really worth being friends with."
Ross nodded. "Same here," he added. "I was kind of a geek in high school, and I thought things might change around here. But," he sighed, "they haven't."
Chandler nodded sympathetically, and glanced down at his watch. "Shit!" he shouted out loud, turning the heads of several studying students. "Sorry," he muttered.
He stood up. "I've really gotta get home, Ross. But see you tomorrow in Wilson's class, okay?"
"Yeah, sure," Ross said, confused. "But where-" But by the time Ross' words had left his mouth, Chandler was gone.
*** "Hey, Mom!" Chandler shouted out as he entered his mother's apartment. "I'm so sorry I'm late, it's just-"
His mother appeared from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a dish towel. "It's okay, honey," she said kindly. "She's just in her room. Probably should be waking up from her nap right about now."
Chandler grinned. "Thanks, Mom." He turned a corner and entered a pink bedroom with a white crib in the center of it.
A little girl stood up in the middle of the crib, and as she saw Chandler enter the room, a smile filled her little face. "Daddy!" she cried out happily, and held her hands out to Chandler.
PLEASE REVIEW.....tell me if this should be continued or if it's just plain crap!
