Another short humor thing. My best friend commented that the ledges in the games didn't look that high, and...this happened. Hope you like.
Pokemon (c) Nintendo, Game Freak, and Satoshi Tajiri.
"You can jump off ledges like this to go back to Pallet Town without going into the grass," the girl said to me. "It's a little bit scary, but it's much faster than going all the way around."
I glanced at the supposed "ledge" - it couldn't have been higher than three or four inches. "Oh, please, how is this scary?" I jumped over it to demonstrate. "See? Perfectly fine."
"You can only do it one-way though," she said. "I forgot to mention that."
"...what? That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. It's barely a ledge at all - if you can call it that in the first place!" Just to show her, I jumped back over - and couldn't make it. I was confused by this, so I tried again.
And again.
And again.
And I couldn't get back over the small incline. "...really, Nintendo?" I said, glaring up at the sky. "This is just ridiculous." My very first ever experience playing Pokemon (Yellow, in case you were wondering) wasn't off to an auspicious start...
