Kiss Me GoodBye
L squated on his swivel chair, spoon full of chocolate cake in his mouth. His knees against his chest, acting as a table to his cake. Footsteps entering the room made L's attention brake from said cake. Dark sleepless eyes met with brown lively eyes. Light's eyes raked over L and looked away. Light walked over to a chair next to L and sat down.
"Where's the rest of the team?" Light asked L
"At home. I gave them the day off." L answered with cake in his mouth
Light looked at L's lips and saw he had chocolate frosting on his bottom lip. He extended his hand to L's face and with his thumb removed the frosting. Unconcouisly he stuck his thumb in his mouth and sucked it clean.
"Light? Why did you do that?" L asked, looking up curouisly with his big eyes.
"I-I..You had frosting on your lip.." Light stammered, looking down
L reached over and caressed Light's face, stopping at his chin. He pulled his face, so he was looking in his eyes.
"L..?" Light whispered slowly
"Shh.."
L leaned over with his eyes closed and placed his lips on Light's very gentlely. Shocked at first, Light returned the kiss. They slowly broke apart staring into eachothers eyes.
"Ugh!" L grunted in pain
"L? L, are you ok?" Light asked worried
L didnt answer him. L fell to the ground, only to be caught by Light. Light cradled L in his arms, placing his hand on L's face.
"L? Please answer me.." Light said fighting back tears
Blood began to soak L's white shirt. Light didnt bother holding back the sobs that escaped his throat.
"Light..?" L asked weakly
"Yes, L?" Light answered eagerly
"You're Kira,..arn't you?" L whispered
"Yes. But I dont want to be anymore..I-I love you L. I dont want to be a murderer!" Light whimpered
L smiled slightly, but winced.
"I love you too Light..Promise me something.."
"Anything L."
"Kiss me. Kiss me one last time." L pleaded with his eyes
Light leaned down and kissed L with everything he had. He was kissing L for the last time and was trying to put all his love and passion it. It was still gentle but fierce. When he pulled away he saw L looking at him with love in his eyes.
L reached up and grazed his fingers on Light's jaw before his hand fell, and his eyes closed.
Those adorable inoccent eyes closed, and never reopened.
Light cried out in pain and sarrow when realazation hit him. L was gone, dead, his heart had stopped beating.
"No! NOO! Take me! Kill me!..Please.."
The world before he found the Death-Note was more welcomed than a world without L.
"As you wish Light Yagami. I did say I would be the one to put your name in my Death-Note."
"Gah!" Light screamed
He knew what was happening, he welcomed it in fact. Light gripped L tighter, holdig him to his chest as he closed his eyes. He wanted to die as quickly as he could, so he didnt have to be apart from L. He wanted to hold him, to kiss him, to love him again.
Light died with a smile on his lips as he held the one he loved the most in world, L.
Thats how the squad found them the next day. L cradled in Light's arms, with a smile on Light's lips. Surrounded by a puddle of their blood. The squad captan made sure they were barried next to eachother; that they were side by side, the way things should have been.
