Coming Home

His tall, dark figure slouched, eyes tired and weary

Dark brown hair tousled looking like he had just awoken

But no, if only he had, he had just come from the war

Fighting for family and friends and for the love of his country

His heart sad for he had seen so many fall

The cry of families surrounding him

Some in happiness and some in pain

Others just crying because they'd seen all he had seen

He could still hear the cries of pain from his friends

Some didn't make it they certainly didn't deserve to die.

Blaise Zelse, son of Jacob and Gezelle Zelse, brother of James and Trevor and husband of Missy Louise, has been scared from seeing death and injury, he was in the 1st battalion of the 24th regiment, Blaise fears that one day that the enemy might come for his family and a new war will start, he was happy to come home and the war had ended.

His home in Sydney is where he went first, to see his wife he sat on the porch waiting and watching he knew what time she got home and so he waited.

He had been one of many that was forced to kill, he had been one that thought 'why not call a truce?' Too much blood was shed too much pain he was glad it had ended glad to be home he continued to watch until finally she arrived the love of his life, Missy Louise was walking to him with tears in her eyes they embraced each other, he was happy to be home.
