Tiffany's POV
All I wanted to do was sit down and have a nice bowl of ice cream with my aunt Jenna and older sister Elena. Never in my mind would I expect the surprise that awaited us at the front door. Standing on the other side of it was my supposedly dead birth mother, Isobel, who I didn't even know was still alive.
But it turned out Elena did. And she never even had the insight to tell me or Aunt Jenna about it. She wasn't the only one knew either- Mr. Saltzman knew, as well as Uncle John. I doubt Jeremy knew. But, I'm upset, angry, and royally pissed. How could my own older sister keep this from me? I wanted to know about my birth mother ever since Aunt Jenna told me and Elena that we were adopted. Elena knew she was alive, but she didn't tell me. That sent a quick stab of betrayal to my heart. My own flesh and blood hurt me. I loved Elena, but it was going to take a while to forgive her.
I was sitting on my bed, my pillow held to my chest and my door locked. I didn't want to risk Elena getting in, as I wasn't ready to talk to her quite yet.
Unfortunately, she didn't get the memo.
A sharp knock resounded on my door.
"Tiff, please. Let me in. I wanna talk to you." She pleads through the door.
"No, go away. I've got no time for you." I answer through the door, but she still doesn't take the hint. How dense is this girl?
"I want to explain everything, Tiffany. Please just let me in!"
"What part of 'no' don't you understand, Elena? I wanted to know about my birth mother for a long time, yet you knew everything, and you didn't have the gall to even tell me and Aunt Jenna the truth."
"I was just trying to protect you!" she starts, but I interrupt her.
"Oh, please! That's always your excuse, Elena! You want to protect someone! But do you care about the people you hurt? You really hurt Aunt Jenna, but you betrayed our trust. Trust is easy to destroy, but takes time to build. You destroyed our trust in you, Elena. It's going to be a while before I even think of trusting you again. As of now, consider our sisterly bond cut off." I grumble angrily.
"But Tiffany-"
"Good night, Elena." I emphasize. She finally takes the hint and I hear her footsteps leave the door. Once everyone is settled in for the night, I'm still wide awake. Elena's betrayal haunted me, and I couldn't stay in the house. I needed to get out, fast.
I grabbed my backpack, put the necessary essentials I would need to survive, and quietly moved through the house like a mouse. Once I was outside the door, I locked it with my spare key, got into my car, and drove off into the night.
Please review! This is my first Vampire Diaries fanfic, so I would love constructive criticism! :)
