West Rosen and Claire Bennet seemed like a miss matched couple. His hands were big and his eyes were big and his lips were thin and his body was slight. He was taller than her, bigger than her, and yet the way he let his fingers trace the outline of her hand or the way he gently held her by the small of her back as they walked seemed so small. They were small acts, done as if by small hands but his hands were big compared to hers. She always felt it was kind of weird the way his hands could envelope hers completely and the way he could pick her up easily, as if she weighed no more than a sack of laundry. He could fly through the sky but he would sit next to her on the ground. He could spend all his time soaring through the air but instead he remained grounded for her. He was special. He was different. His hands were big but he held her like they were small. His frame was slender but he could scoop her up and fly off with her on a moment's notice. His eyes were big and as they stared at her in love and wonder she felt like the most important thing in the world. His lips were thin but when they were on hers she couldn't tell. His hair was always a bit ruffled, she assumed it had to do with the wind and flying but she still liked to run her hands through it, messing it up further. He'd ask her to jump off the Hollywood sign just to see if she would, and then catch her because he didn't want to see her in pain. She didn't understand how he worked, how he operated, what made him tick but when he was with her, it didn't matter because he made her feel like she was perfect in every way. She was loved more than she had ever felt loved. He liked her for more than just her looks and more than just her power. He loved her for her. He loved her for all the weird little things that made her who she was like the way she would pretend to be upset that his hands were bigger than hers and the way she'd kiss his cheek when he looked at her 'that way'. He loved that she would do anything for him and she loved that he could make her feel that way. It was an intense love, burning like a never ending fire, contained but with that ever lingering threat for danger. She might be able to heal any wound but he could cause a blow to her heart that she could never recover from. He might be able to fly away from any danger but the truth she knew would ground his heart forever. She was a thief who stole his heart and he was a sap who let her.
