She shuffles around through her desk and pulls out the HD video camera she had gotten for her 18th birthday. She pulls her tripod out from her closet and sets everything up perfectly. She pats her hair down and applies an extra coat of her cherry lip smackers. Finally, she reaches toward the camera, glides her fingers across the glossy sides, and presses the big red record button.
She belts out "Don't Rain On My Parade" and finishes with a smile. She carefully shuts off the camera and lets out a big sigh. She puts the tripod away and pulls the memory card out of her camera. She sits at her desk and opens her bedazzled computer. She shoves the memory card into her computer and loads the video into Windows Movie Maker. She makes sure she sounds perfect and the chooses to upload the video. She fills out every space except for "title." She goes back and types "Rachel Berry singing 'Don't Rain On My Parade' originally by the fabulous Barbara Streissand."
She checks her YouTube channel a week after the video had been uploaded. There were about 200 views which seemed like progress to her. The only thing that took the smile off her face were the rude comments such as "What are you, Justin Bieber? He sounds more like a girl than you." and "Please get sterilized." Her last video had gotten similar comments, so she didn't feel as bad as she should have. She shuts her computer and crosses her arms as she thinks about what she's doing. Is this just bringing in more chances of humiliation? She ponders the thought and considers deleting the YouTube channel all together. But something in her gut tells her to keep the video up, and that someone important /has/ to see it eventually.
A smile rests on her face as she thinks of the great things that could happen if she were discovered. People would be kissing her feet and apologizing for all of the pain they put her through. She would have fan clubs, merchandise, and more riches than she could ever imagine. But best of all: what if she got to meet Barbra? Or what of Barbra even knew who she was? Then that would mean her hard work she put into the fan club for all those years would finally pay off. Her smile grew even bigger. She was determined to reach fame.
