A/n: Hey everybody. I wrote this a few days ago. There's a picture of Sayid cupping Shannon's face and looking into her eyes, while she looks into his, that inspired this poem. It so sucksthat they killed Shannon, especially while she was in Sayid's arms and he was basically confessing undying love for her. (sigh). Anyways, I had a heck of time making every second thing rhyme, but now I'm really glad it does, 'cuz it sounds so much nicer then what I had it as before. So anyways,leaveme a review and make me smile all day long.

Too Quiet.

I can't hear you speak

I can't hear you breathe

I can't hear you because you're not there

Shannon, how could you leave?

How many days will it take for it to sink in?

How many days will it take for me to remember?

How many days will I have to go on without you?

Will my love ever diminish to a mere ember?

I held you close and never wanted to let go

I held you in my arms as you died

I held on tight, willing you to return to me

I held on and cried and cried.

I keep on going, though I don't know why

As each day feels as mundane as the last

The best day of my life turned out to be when the plane crashed.

After Nadia, I never thought I would love again

Then you came along and stole my heart

Day by day our romance grew

Until you were suddenly gone, leaving us torn apart.

Some nights I cry for you, for us

Some nights seems normal, like nothing has changed

Some nights I retrieve your picture from my pack.
