Heaven

Jack lay down by Sam. She was asleep after a long day. Finn was sown for the night. He was so cute. His only regret was that the kid wasn't actually his. However he wanted to change that fact.

Oh thinking about our younger years

We were young and wild and free

As he lay there listening to her soft breathing, his thoughts drifted back to their younger years, and the first time they had been together. They were reckless and wild then. They burned themselves out then, but had managed to pull themselves back together, back into each other's arms. She was all he wanted, had been all he wanted for a long time. Sam sensed his presence and rolled into his arms. It was heaven. He had found it in her heart.

She was his once in a lifetime love. Sam had turned his world upside down. Even when they hadn't been together, she meant the world to him. His love for her had taken up almost all the love in his heart. There was room for his daughters and room for her and now for Finn, but that love had disintegrated his marriage. It was that much more powerful, more intense and beautiful. It was heavenly. Sam shifted and 'hmmmed' sleepily.

"You think too much, Jack. Go to sleep." She murmured.

"I will, but I need to tell you something." He answered.

"K."

"I love you. You're my heaven. I want to be with you forever. I want to be your husband and Finn's father."

"Love you too." She opened her eyes and sat up suddenly. "Wait! Did you just ask me to marry you?"

"Yes."

"And you want to adopt Finn?"

"Yes." Sam studied him for a moment.

"Then yes to both." She answered. Jack sat up and kissed her gently.

"Tomorrow we'll go pick out a ring." He said when they broke apart. She smiled at him.

"I love you Jack."

"I love you too."
