A lone female figure, no older than thirteen, sat precariously on the end of her windowsill, watching the sky flit and flail, clouds whirring into the expanse above, her emerald green eyes full of wonder.
Suddenly, a gust of icy wind blew in from the North, nearly knocking her off the sill.
"Timmy!" she shouted, exasperated, as a brunette male landed on the sill next to her, completely unharmed.
"What? What did I do wrong?" Tim asked, sarcasm lacing his voice.
"You know what you did, now, get us down; the bus'll be here soon for our first day at Sky High!" Abby squealed, grasping Tim's left hand, waiting for the gust of wind to bring them down.
With their feet safely on the ground, Abby ran inside to grab her backpack before following Tim to the bus stop.
"So, what do you think Sky High will be like?" Abby asked.
"I dunno, Abs. My dad is never home to talk to me. I'll I've got is Sarah, and she may not even be a super." Tim explained. His dad was an aquakinetic superhero who was part of the US Navy, so he was always travelling.
As the bus pulled up, Abby and Tim greeted the bus driver and found seats.
