Once a Ranger always a Ranger.
A/N: Little short story I was thinking of making into a full series with Dawn taking Kira's place as the Yellow Ranger. Think Dino Rangers with a little bit of Buffy here and there. Think of this as a future Epilouge.
All Dawn felt was pain through her body. Even with Willow unlocking all the potential Slayer's it still wasn't enough. The Turok-Han and the followers of The First were everywhere, Dawn tried her best remembering her time at Reefside last year as a Dino Ranger while Sunnydale High was being built during her freshman year.
She kicked and stabbed her way through the Hellmouth as fast as she could. All of a sudden she felt her legs be swept from under her then landed on the rock floor with a thud. A follower of The First stood over her with a sword in hand. Dawn closed her eyes ready for the moment death took her. She heard a scream from the cult member and opened her eyes. A sword was sticking through his chest, he lslumped to the ground and Dawn saw a familiar face.
Dr. Tommy Oliver.
He was wearing his original green ranger uniform with a smile on his face. "Hey kid, need some help?' He stretched out his hand with Dawn taking it immediately. Looking around her things weren't looking so good for the potential Slayers. The demons and the cult leader were over running them.
"The Lightspeed Rescue Rangers picked up a huge demon spike here in Sunnydale. So, I brought a few friends along to help."
Tommy pointed to the entrance and there were hundreds of Rangers, and leading the charge were Ethan and Conner. She smiled at her two friends then looked back at Tommy with confusion.
"Tommy we lost our morphers after our battle with Mesogag. How did Ethan and Conner get their morphers back?"
Tommy smiled. "Well we had some friends from the future re-create all the lost rangers morphers…once a ranger always a ranger Dawn.
He handed her her old yellow dino morpher. With a smile, she put it on here wrist quickly and it felt like nothing had changed at all, Dawn felt her dino powers return to her within the instant she put the morpher o. She ran up to the crowd of current and former rangers ready to attack the demons and The First.
Buffy seeing the crowd of what she thought was civilians at the mouth of Hell she noticed Dawn in front of the crowd with two other boys. Even the demons and The First looked up to see what was going on. The crowd and her sister all pulled something out and shouted words. She could distinctly hear what her sister and the two others said.
"DINO THUNDER POWER UP"
Then it finally hit Buffy. Her sister was a Power Ranger and she just brought a lot of needed back up.
*Insert Dino Thunder Theme*
Dawn closed her eyes as the suit formed on her body and in a second she was back into her old gear. It felt good. She heard Tommy give a signal that told everyone it was time to attack. The demons didn't even know what hit them.
Most of the demons stood where they were as the massive army of Rangers barreled toward the Slayers aid. Demons and followers of The First fell quickly as the rangers charged, then it was pure chaos.
Dawn fought with Ethan and Conner trying to get to her sister and tell her what was going on. She kicked, ounched and slashed her way through as many demons as she could. It had been over a year since she was a Ranger, but like Tommy said once a ranger always a ranger.
