Prelude

The morning was so beautiful, the sky clear and sunny. The birds were singing and the breeze was warm. All was right with the world to Lucy. She had woke up about twenty minutes ago feeling better then she had in such a long time. Now she sat on the small wooden bench in the middle of the village.

There she sat, humming a happy tune to herself when she saw him. Rogue Cheney. The morning sun shinning off his black hair, his pale skin glowing wonderfully. He looked so at peace as he walked down the winding dirt path. If she had to describe him in one word it would be enchanting.

Lucy's pov

I can't help but stare at him, I can't bring myself to look away. The closer he gets the more clear his facial expression gets. I can see his blissful smile, and I wonder if he even knows that I exist. Then it happens. He looks up and our eyes meet. His smile widens and I feel heat rush to my face and my heart skip a beat. I can't bare it and I look away.

I can feel his gaze on me as he comes closer to me and I chance a glance up at him.

"Hey." He says to me, and I fumble over my words in my mind. How do I answer?!

"Um... Good morning Rogue." I finally manage to say, although he's still walking down the path, away from me.

Did he hear me? Oh dear! I can still feel the heat in my face! Did he notice my blush?
