I sat on the ceiling of the conference room. Beneath me, chaos reigned as the speakers shifted. Blueseas stepped down, her speech having been met by much applause. Another speaker, one I had not yet had the pleasure of meeting, teleported onto the stage and began their own speech, expressing a feeling of neutrality between the sides.
After they teleported away, I decided to make my point. I adjusted my orange and black headphones and motioned to my sibling. Bless nodded, her goggles glinting as she held herself on the ceiling. I waved my hand, opening a portal in front of us that would lead to the stage. Grabbing the edge, I flipped myself through, so I ended up doing a flip on the stage.
I looked fiercely at the still-quarreling audience, who completely ignored my arrival. Bless had climbed through the portal, standing slightly taller than me, and whispered, "How are you gonna get their attention?"
I smiled at her and whispered back, "Like this."
I took out my phone, which was wirelessly connected to my headphones, and scrolled to a new song. I turned it up to full volume, then removed my headphones, cutting off my hearing and pointing the speakers at the crowd. Eclipse began to blast out, silencing the room. Bless tapped my shoulder, and I replaced my headphones, stopping the music and restoring my hearing.
"Attention authors, OCs, readers, and the occasional creeper! I come here to speak out about the issue surrounding Youtubers, Mob Talker, and stories about these things!"
I cleared my throat, then continued: "Firstly, stop the generic Mob Talker stories! They are annoying as hell, and I've found that the majority of ones that I have seen have the grammar of the common YouTube comment! For those who don't watch YouTube, one, why are you arguing here, and two, it means their English fucking sucks."
"Secondly, I am here to propose a compromise. Hopefully you will agree with me here. I believe we let those with stories involving Youtubers be left alone, provided that you do NOT ship them in a fictional relationship! A relationship that exists is ok, but if the story centers around that romance, take your story and shove it up your local Web Shows category. You can find that under Misc. And if you're gonna ship two real people in a fictional relationship, take it to Tumblr!"
"The rules state that we cannot use non-historical non-fictional characters. Youtubers fit into this. But not imaginary versions, which is what many of us use, including myself."
"If you have a problem with anything I've said, feel free to shoot me a PM. Jordyn out!"
I concluded my speech and opened two portals, one of which I shoved Bless into, the other one I jumped into. I landed outside Lalna's castle, ready to do some trolling.
Seriously though, I hope you find my compromise adequate.
