Authors Note: I have recently gotten back into the KHR fandom and this thought just kind of came to me. I wrote it out in hopes of getting back my Mojo. An Everlasting Flame has had only twenty chapters for far too long.
The Sky is large and accepting, sporting a peculiar family. It houses the Sun, the Clouds, the Mist, the Rain, the Storm and the Lightening that comes with it.
What about the Moon?
The ever generous Sky embraces her as another part of his family even though she has nothing to offer.
At times the Sky forgets about the Moon. Not out of anger or hatred, but because she is unmemorable.
Her rays are obscured by the curling wisps of Mist, just as she is blocked from view by the always changing Clouds.
The Lightening and the Storm grab all attention once directed at her, showing her up at every turn.
She is not needed. She is a leech that has to rely on the Sun, unable to shine on her own. And so, any thought of her is washed away by the Rain.
What, then, is her purpose in the vast and lonely Sky?
