Lilly stood in front of the mirror looking at herself in her wedding dress. She heard a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Lilly asked.
"Miley."
"Come in." Lilly said.
Miley walked in.
"Lilly, you look so beautiful!" Miley exclaimed as she hugged her best friend.
"Is he coming?" Lilly asked.
Miley looked at her knowing who she meant. Lilly pretended that she didn't want him there, but Miley knew she did.
"He never replied." Miley told her.
"Oh." Lilly said.
Lilly looked at her feet, trying to hold back her tears. He was her ex-boyfriend, maybe he didn't want to see her with some other guy.
"How much longer?" Lilly asked trying to forget about him.
"5 minutes." Miley told her.
Lilly picked up her bouquet and walked out the door while Miley followed. Lilly was so nervous. She couldn't get him out of her mind. She thought back when they departed each other.
"Lilly, it's the only way." He said wiping her tear off her cheek.
"I know but why?" she asked.
"My mom got transferred to New York and she wants me to move with her." He said.
"I'll miss you." Lilly said squeezing him while crying in his chest.
"I'll miss you too." He said kissing her head.
Lilly looked at him and kissed him on the lips. He walked her back to her house and then left. The last time they saw each other, junior year of college.
After Lilly graduated from college, she found something in Jackson but wasn't quite sure what. He proposed and she accepted.
That's why she was standing there in the back of the church. Miley and her boyfriend, who was the best man too, in front of her. They started walking. Then Lilly and her dad. Lilly then thought what she first saw in Jackson, there was something of him in Jackson. Lilly got to the front. Jackson smiled and she smiled back. He took her hands in his. The priest began.
Then it all hit Lilly.
Was she doing the right thing? Was Jackson the one? Should she really be marrying him?
"Now for the vows." The priest said.
Jackson and Lilly said their vows.
"If anyone wants to object of these two getting married, please speak now or forever hold your peace." The priest said.
Suddenly, the doors swung opened.
Lilly saw him.
"I do." He said.
Everyone turned to him. Jackson's face went from happy to anger.
He walked up to the altar.
"Well?" the priest asked.
"I love Lilly." He said.
Everyone gasped. Jackson looked like he wanted to punch him.
"You haven't been around for 4 years." Jackson reminded him.
"Sorry I couldn't get away. But I never stopped loving you Lilly." He said taking Lilly's hands.
More gasps.
"Lilly, are you smiling?" Jackson asked.
Lilly blushed.
"No." She then giggled.
"Do you love him?" Jackson asked.
"No." She giggled again.
"Lilly, I know you giggle when you lie. Why did you go out with me if you love him?" Jackson asked.
"Because you reminded me of him." Lilly told him.
"Well?" Jackson asked.
"I love him." Lilly smiled.
He smiled.
"Go be with him whore." Jackson said.
Everyone gasped.
Lilly slapped.
"She said that in a church." She said.
Then he punched Jackson.
"Don't call Lilly names." He said.
Lilly smiled at him.
"Shall we?" he said holding out his arm.
"We shall." Lilly smiled hooking onto his arm.
They ran down the aisle and out the church.
"You got a motorcycle?" Lilly asked.
"Yeah." He smiled.
He got on the bike and Lilly behind him.
"Hold on." He smiled.
Lilly squeezed him.
They went off.
"I love you Lilly Truscott." He smiled.
"I love you Oliver Oken and I never stopped." Lilly smiled.
Lilly and Oliver rode off just as the sun was setting.
