Twilight Sparkle is just an ordinary alicorn, with ordinary friends. Well, I guess they're not too ordinary. They are the bearers of, THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY! Twilight's element is magic/friendship. (Apparently they're the same thing.) Her friends (and they're elements) are, Fluttershy, (kindness) Rainbow Dash, (loyalty) Rarity, (generosity) Pinkie Pie, (laughter) and Apple Jack/ A.J. (Honesty)
One day Celestia and Luna had a talk.
"Sister, are you sure they can survive in this new world?" Luna asked. "Would I even think about sending them there if I wasn't sure?" Celestia replied. "You do have a point there," Luna admitted. "So we agree on sending them there?" Celestia asked. "Yes, sister" Luna answered.

"Firestar, Starclan has sent me a message," Leafpool told her father. "New cats will be coming to the clan, although at first they may seem like kittypets, we must welcome them into our clan." Firestar thought about this new knowledge, "Ok, Leafpool,"
