Chapter 1
When you think of a thief you think of a dirty criminal or some lowlife right? Well after you hear my story I may have you seeing things differently. My story beings in paris france my home. I loved everything about the city as a child and as I grew up I found there was a darker side to a brilliant city. As I turned 16 I was on free reign over my future. When my younger friends Bentley and Murray reached 16 I was 19 and had gotten a job as a valet at a restaurant in uptown. My friends swayed me to start college and try to make my life as nice as possible. When I applied to a university in Ireland they immediately turned it down. As I talked to the president of the university he explained to me that we don't take coopers here.
I asked," why?"
He suavely replied,"oh, you don't know about your father then?"
I told the gentleman I had only known my fathers name and that he loved me with all his heart when he died.
The man simply said they still don't have exceptions for any coopers. As I returned to my apartment I asked bently over the phone if he could help me on some family research.
Bentley graciously replied," sorry sly I've got work to do on my homework."
After an awkward silence I found that Bentley had limited people skills and decided to hang up the phone.
A few mounth later I had been accepted to a university in West Berlin(this is set a few weeks before the fall of the wall) and had to make a long travel to make it there as I reached the university I had seen the horror of the wall and the soviets had made of the east. A few days later the wall fell and a flood of people came to greet us and I stood in my apartment with only myself a bottle of booze and a gun. Life didn't go so well and if the wall hadn't fallen I would have pulled the trigger. I went into a deep depression after I heard that the university was kicking me out.
I sat in a room for three months only coming out to answer the door for food and as the days grew longer I realized that I had to find my friends. I had just turned 22 and that meant that my friends were 18 and we could travel the globe as we planned to in the orphanage. As I packed my bags for Paris I found that I couldn't leave without money and I decided to stay and find out about my family.
