Moment

Now, he supposed it hadn't been the best idea, not that he'd ever admit it out loud. After all, it did work. She had stopped yelling. Now she just had this look of shock on her face at his action.

He imagined the look on his own face must be a copy of it.

He hadn't wanted to do it. Well, he sort of did but... it was all too confusing.

It was just with the limited amount that he could actually move his body (thanks to Kodachi's poison) it was the only thing he could think to do.

To be fair, he had muttered his thanks to her for dragging him to safety. It was just that she had started this whole lecture on not paying attention. He had heard this lecture before and a part of him did recognize that she was just concerned about him. He just wished sometimes she'd show her concern in a way that didn't involve yelling at him.

She was leaning close to him with that cute pout on her face. (Did he think 'cute'? No. Never!)

He guessed that the poison in his system was having more of an effect then freezing him, and the thoughts of another way she could show her concern flitted through his head. (Her being gentle? Ha!)

All it took was a slight (painful) lifting of his head and something that lasted about three seconds left them in three minutes of shock.

Finally she stood back up (was her face red? Why did his face feel like it's burning?) and she continued to carry (drag) him back home. This time in silence.

"Akane. Do you know why Ranma is lying in the front hallway?" the eldest Tendo sister asked.

"Oh, Kodachi poisoned the dope again. I had to drag him home. He'll probably be fine for dinner. Or at least well enough to drag himself to the table," she said in her normal tone. Though Kasumi didn't miss the pink tinge that still remained on her face.

"Kodachi's poisoned him again? Oh my. I suppose that's why his face is bright red."

Akane smiled but didn't answer.

A Ranma/Akane romance? How the hell did this happen!

Thanks Warren for proofing this.

And thanks to Weebee for pointing out that some words went missing.
