Disclaimer: Neither I nor Isis owns Death Note.

AN: This is a Shakespearean Sonnet (also known as an English Sonnet) written by my sister (Isis Shadowtamer) and myself for one of her English assignments. Each line is ten syllables long and the whole piece follows the riming pattern: abab cdcd efef gg. It was challenging because of its constricting form but I was very pleased with the end results so I convinced her to let me share it with you, my readers. Hope you enjoy, especially the juicy twist!

Forbidden Fruit

Flesh pale as the winters moon, white as snow

Red rubies, droplets of blood for your lips

Fresh, sweet, innocent like a new spring doe

Unknown the kiss, hands on thy curving hips

`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`

Sugary juices running down my chin

Flawless skin adorns thy perfect body

Oh my love, I can't wait till we begin

Forgive my French but you are a hottie

`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`

For you I would fly to worlds unknown

Without you I know I would go crazy

In your absence I'll do handstands and moan

I contort and my vision goes hazy

`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`s`

If others could follow your example...

And now you know, God's of Death Love Apples.
