Mondo's POV

Every time he passed by me, a strange feeling wafted over me like a strong smell. I would feel dizzying happiness when he spoke to me, a sensation which seemed to not know what it was doing or what it wanted. The feeling was nonexistent at first. In fact, quite the opposite. There was a mutual hatred between us. I saw him as mean and he saw me as childish. However, after I had discovered the real him, my feelings changed, and so did his soon after.. The fake him was serious and cruel, almost emotionless with a heart of steel. The fake him was so inhuman, it scared people. He scared me.

Until I was him cry.

When I first saw him cry, I learned that he was just as innocent and pure as the rest of us. He did have emotions, just didn't show them.

It happened on a warm spring morning. I was walking to the supplies unit where I worked, when I heard a sound. My sixth sense lured me closer, knowing that the sound was of distress and pain. Eventually I found the source, and what I saw shocked me.

Curled up under a cherry tree was Hun. His steel colored hair was unbound and drifting in the warm breeze. His azure eyes were bloodshot, tears streaming down his cheeks. He was curled in a way which indicated fear and loneliness.

Being the type of person I am, I went to comfort him. He must not have wanted it, because the next thing I knew he had set his Steelix on me. I wanted to stay, but when threatened with a 400 kg iron snake, there's no choice but to run away. So I did.

Later that day I bumped into him. He seemed normal enough, but I noticed he was closing his eyes a lot. I followed him into an empty room, then when I was sure nobody could overhear, I snuck up behind him and lightly tapped his back.

Hun shot around so fast that his own hair whacked him in the face. He stared at me with cold eyes, no longer a gemlike azure but a dull cerulean. His eyes must go darker when he's crying, I thought but not just when he's sad, because he's most likely sad now, but his eyes are normal.

"Will you stop gawking at me?" Hun asked, brushing the hair out of his face.

"Yes sir," I said quietly, looking at the floor "Sir, are you alright?"

"Of course," he replied "what gives you reason to believe otherwise?"

I gave him a look of frustration and disbelief.

"This morning, when you were-"

"This morning is to never be spoken of, understood?" Hun said menacingly. He leaned down to match my height (not that he needed to) and glared at me.

I nodded "Of course, but-"

"It is a private matter and I do not wish for you to know of it" he interrupted me once more "Any more mentioning of the topic and I will have you punished. It is a violation of Team Rocket Conduct to question others of personal things which are unwanted to be a topic of discussion."

I nodded once again.

"I'm glad you understand," he said, correcting his posture (which made him only 10 centimeters taller than me).

I was silent as he walked away, but my mind was anything but.

That evening was one of the most confusing and amazing evenings I have ever experienced. I was still bewildered by Hun's strange display of behavior, so I went to question him again. I caught him at the perfect time. Attila was still eating dinner but Hun was finished, so I followed him to his dorm. I waited a few minutes then knocked. He opened the door a crack, and I saw something gleam in his hands. His eyes narrowed and he sighed. He opened the door reluctantly.

"What is it you desire?" he said.

"I want to know why you were crying and if there's anything I can do to help," I said in a strong voice.

"I do not wish to speak of it, and there is nothing you can do," he said simply, closing the door. I reacted quickly, and jammed my body is the doorway, preventing him from shutting it.

"At least tell me the cause!" I exclaimed.

Hun glared at me.

"I recall you stated that you understood when I warned you, but clearly you either didn't understand or are intentionally disobeying me."

I lunged at him. He clearly thought I was attacking him, as he coiled for attack. However, I surprised him. I wrapped my arms around him in a warm hug. He was started, taken aback.

"What is it you are trying to accomplish?" he asked me, attempting to sound serious but not quite managing to be convincing.

"Why are you so determined to not tell me?" I asked, a firm look on my face.

"I… I…" Hun smirked "It seems that you are more than I thought you were in the means of manipulation."

"Tell me," I said.

"I do not wish to open any wounds," Hun replied.

"Then this 'topic', of which you call it, has upset you multiple times?" I asked.

"I…"

"What is upsetting you?" I asked, pressing him against a wall.

"Why do you want to know?" Hun asked.

"Because I love you."

"I..." Hun was speechless. He looked at me, his cerulean eyes gleaming like gems. After what seemed like an eternity he spoke.

"Well, if you want to help me, then I know how."

Attila's POV

Work had been hard. My legs hurt from training, my arms hurt from typing so much, my brain hurt from Hun's lecture about everything there is to know about everything. The brainiac. I was tired, sore, and had barely made it through dinner. I needed to sleep.

I opened the door to Hun and I's room. I expected him to be sound asleep, with paper covering his bed and his phone still in his hand. However, I was wrong. The first thing I saw was Hun sleeping. That was normal. Then I saw someone in his bed with him. That was abnormal. Then I realized that person was Mondo. That was just weird.

Hun and Mondo were sleeping in the same bed. They were hugging each other. Mondo was smiling and Hun looked calm. I took out my phone and snapped a few pics. The flash must of disturbed Hun a little, because his eyes flickered open. I quickly hid my phone behind my back and held my breath.

Hun rubbed his eyes and looked at Mondo. For the first time in my life I saw a genuine smile cross the mans face. I made sure he had gone back to sleep before going to sleep myself, and began the wait for Hun to wake up screaming when he realized what had happened.

Huns POV

I thought I had dreamed it all. I thought that Mondo finding me crying, I thought our kiss, everything was a dream. It felt like a dream. It was all blurry, and missing parts, but I guess that's just my emotions messing with me, distracting me.

When I woke up that morning to find Mondo on top of me, I was immediately hit with the realization that it hadn't been a dream. Mondo had seen my delicate side, that he loved me, and that we had kissed.

"Mondo," I shook him awake.

"Yeah?" he groaned, still half asleep.

I looked him in the eye. He was so beautiful, with his caramel eyes and brunette hair. I leaned forward and kissed him on the forehead.

"Thank you," I whispered, hugging him.

Mondo smiled up at me, and kissed me gently on the lips. I immediately relaxed and fell into his arms, kissing him back gently.

We only stopped when we saw the flash of a camera.
