"Hey Link?" she said smiling.
Link looked at her.
"Yes Zel?" he asked smiling as well.
She smiled and blushed at his nickname for her.
"I have been thinking" she said.
"Of what?" he asked.
"That we should hang out, do something together, we haven't really done anything since we got back a week ago and haven't had much time alone" Zelda said.
Link nodded in agreement.
"So what do you have in mind?" Link asked.
"I don't know really, what about you?" Zelda asked.
"Well how about we go down and walk around the surface for a little while?" he asked and Zelda shook her head.
"No, monsters are still running around some places so that won't be very peaceful" Zelda said.
"How about swimming?" Zelda asked.
"No the water is too cold right now" Link said.
They then started trying to think of something to do and after a moment of silence Link then started remembering the time Zelda jumped off the dock after he won the Wing Ceremony and he caught her in his arms and then after the ritual they went flying together and Zelda was about to tell him something but then the tornado happened, Link blushed at the flashback but shook it off, he then thought of something.
"Why not go flying together?" Link asked her.
Zelda looked at him.
"Yes let's do that" Zelda said smiling.
"Well let's go" Link said getting up.
He offered his hand to Zelda and she took it an got up from the bench and they both walked to the nearby dock, Link whistled for his crimson loftwing and it flew down and landed on the dock and Zelda then started thinking.
"Hey boy" Link said and rubbed his loftwing's beak.
Zelda was thinking of when her and Link were flying together after the Wing Ceremony and she was about to tell Link how she feels, she blushed at the thought and then Link spoke snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Well aren't you getting on?" Link asked climbing on his loftwing.
Zelda got a bit of pink on her cheeks.
"So we are going to ride on your loftwing together?" Zelda asked
Link nodded and offered his hand to her, Zelda took it and Link pulled her up onto the loftwing, she sat behind him and got comfortable and then put her hands on his shoulders.
"Hold on tight okay?" Link told her.
"Okay" Zelda said.
She wrapped her arms around his waist which made Link blush a bit, he then kicked the sides of his loftwing and it took to the sky, Zelda giggled and moved her head beside Link's.
"So where are we going?" She asked looking out at the endless sky.
"I don't know, i guess just fly around and see what we can see" Link said.
Link's loftwing turned it's head to look at his master and Zelda, it looked at Zelda and Zelda gave him a cute smile, the loftwing glided above the clouds and Zelda started thinking and remembered something and spoke.
"Link"
Link glanced at her over his shoulder.
"Yes Zelda?" Link asked smiling.
"You remember last time we were flying together and how i had something to tell you?" she asked blushing.
"Of course" Link said smiling.
"Well... i really like you.. a lot, i never really had the courage to tell you until the Wing Ceremony" Zelda softly and Link blushed.
"I really like you as well Zelda" Link said.
Zelda then kissed him on the cheek and rested the side of her head on his back and closed her eyes, Link blushed furiously and went back to flying his loftwing and enjoyed every moment of this flight.
"This will be a peaceful flight" he thought.
The loftwing soared through the clouds, it flapped it's wings to gain some altitude the wind tossed their hair around, Zelda was thinking of the day of the Wing Ceremony, when her and Link were flying and the tornado appeared and pulled her below the clouds to the Surface and Link came to save her she knew Link would come rescue her and now they were together again, she then looked up at Link and spoke.
"Hey Link" Zelda said.
Link turned his head and looked at her.
"Yes Zel?" Link asked.
Zelda got a dust of pink on her cheeks.
"I am glad you were there for me" Zelda said softly and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Anything for you and i would go through all of that again if it met saving you Zelda" Link said.
She then kissed him on the cheek again making him blush and Zelda giggled.
"Link, you are so cute when you blush" Zelda said.
Link was embarrassed and just went back to flying and Zelda kept her head on his shoulder looking out at the clouds.
After flying for about a hour, Link and Zelda would chat every now and then, Link flew toward a bunch of clouds and they spotted some shapes.
"The clouds are beautiful today" Zelda said looking at different shapes.
"Yes.. they are" Link said.
Link then spotted a cloud shaped like a loftwing.
"That cloud is shaped like a loftwing" Link said said pointing to it.
Zelda noticed it then saw another beside that was shaped like a heart.
"And that cloud is shaped like a heart" Zelda said leaning her head against Link's and closed her eyes.
Link jumped slightly and blushed again and Zelda whispered in his ear.
"Link... calm down"
Link focused back on steering his loftwing and Zelda relaxed more, even though.
They flew around skyloft for awhile just enjoying being wth each other, then Link ordered his loftwing to fly toward the green column of light and turned his head to looked at Zelda.
"Zelda"
Zelda opened her eyes and looked at Link.
"Yes Link?"
"Want to go fly above Faron woods?" Link asked.
"Sure, that would be nice" Zelda said.
With that said Link directed his loftwing to fly lower and once they reached the column of light his loftwing went into a dive and flew down toward the Surface.
"Hold on tight!" Link told Zelda.
"What are you doing!?" Zelda shouted and tightened her grip.
His loftwing then started diving straight down toward the trees and Zelda then closed her eyes, he then pulled up on his loftwing's collar and he started gliding above the trees and Zelda then looked up and hit Link playfully on the shoulder.
"What was that for!" Link said laughing.
"Don't scare me like that!" Zelda said giggling.
Link laughed and went back to flying, they breathed in the smell of flowers coming from the woods as they glided over the trees, Zelda rested her head back on Link's shoulder and smiled.
"Link i really enjoy flying with you" Zelda said softly.
"I do too" Link said and blushed a bit.
They continued to glide over the woods in silence for awhile Zelda enjoyed being with Link, it was peaceful and she was able to finally able to tell Link how she really feels, the loftwing gained some altitude and they flew by the Great Tree, Zelda and Link looked and saw a few of Kikwis jumping in the air and waving their little arms at them and Link and Zelda waved back.
"I always thought the Kikwis were adorable!" Zelda said smiling and rested the side of her head on his back.
Link laughed and then directed his loftwing to fly back to the clouds, once they flew back up to sky they continued to fly around for awhile, after around 30 minutes Link then noticed a small island and spoke.
"Hey Zellie"
Zelda looked up.
"Yes Link?"
"How about we land on that island and take a break?" Link asked her.
"Sure, besides your loftwing is probably getting tired" Zelda said.
Link then steered his loftwing to the island and landed at the edge, Link jumped off and offered his hand to Zelda she grabbed it and jumped off the loftwing as well, Link then sat down and rested against his loftwing and he patted the spot next to him, Zelda smiled and sat down beside him and Link wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer to him and she layed her head on his shoulder.
"Well.. that was a nice flight wasn't it?" Link asked.
"Yes it was" Zelda said.
She then wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a hug and he wrapped both his arms around her and hugged her back, once they pulled apart, Link kept his arms around her and they looked into each others eyes and started blushing.
"I love you Link" Zelda said.
Link smiled.
"I love you too Zelda" Link said.
Link then pulled her into a kiss, Zelda was shocked at first but then wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back, they kissed for about a minute then pulled apart, they looked at each other smiling.
"It is getting late we should head back soon" Link said noticing the sun was starting to set.
Zelda rested against his loftwing and looked out at the sunset.
"Yes, but let's watch the sunset a bit more" Zelda said and leaned against Link.
After a few minutes of watching the sunset in silence Link got up.
"We should head back now" Link said.
"Yeah" Zelda said and got up as well.
Link grabbed her hand and they both climbed back onto his loftwing, his loftwing got up and spread it's wings, Zelda wrapped her arms around Link and Link ordered his loftwing to take off and it done as instructed.
The flight back was silent and Zelda had her head rested on Link's back and was smiling.
"Link" she said and Link looked at her over his shoulder.
"Today really was nice.. i will always remember this" Zelda said.
"I will too" Link said, he then saw Skyloft in the distance and remembered something.
"Zel?"
Zelda took her head off his back and looked over his shoulder.
"Yes Link?" She asked still smiling.
"Have you ever flown high above Skyloft?" Link asked.
"Of course!" Zelda said.
"At sunset?" Link asked grinning and Zelda shook her head.
"Well then you should like this" Link said and his loftwing started gaining altitude.
"Like what?" Zelda asked.
"Just wait and close your eyes" Link said grinning.
Zelda closed her eyes and kept her head on his shoulder, once they reached Skyloft they were very high above it and once Link had his loftwing in a good spot he told Zelda to open her eyes.
"Open your eyes"
Zelda opened her eyes and turned her head a gasped at the sight.
"Oh Link.. it's beautiful!" Zelda squealed.
"I knew you'd like this" Link said grinning.
Skyloft and the cloud barrier was illuminated in a orange and pink glow from the sun and the 3 colunms of light made it look even more amazing.
"Link i love you!" Zelda said and kissed him on the cheek.
"I love you too Zel" Link said grinning.
They circled around Skyloft a few more times then Link started flying his loftwing down toward the academy, they landed on the bridge leading to top entrance Link hopped off and offered his hand to Zelda, she grabbed it and hopped off the loftwing as well, they both rubbed the side of his head and he looked at his master.
"Your loftwing is amazing Link" Zelda said rubbing his beak.
They both rubbed his neck a bit then his loftwing took to the sky, they both looked at each other and smiled.
"Link, today really was amazing, we should do this more often" Zelda said.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it.. it was a nice flight" Link said and wrapped his arms around her and hugged her.
"No Link, it was a romantic flight" Zelda said and hugged him back.
"Yeah, it was" Link said
They hugged for about a minute then they pulled apart and Link spoke.
"I love you Zelda"
"I love you too Link" Zelda said.
They then pulled kissed again, and after about 5 minutes they pulled apart after hearing someone laughing, they looked to see Pipit and Karane standing by the door, and Link and Zelda were blushing furiously.
"Oh shut up" Zelda and gave Link another quick kiss on the lips.
"How long were you standing there?" Link asked.
"Since you landed" Karane said giggling.
"So you two finally got together?" Pipit asked grinning.
"Yes and why does it matter to you?" Link asked still blushing.
"Cause you guys make a very cute couple and it's obvious you love each other!" Karane squealed.
"Whatever!" Zelda snapped and walked past them and into the academy.
Link followed behind her but got stopped by Pipit patting him on the shoulder.
"Congrats Link" Pipit said still grinning.
"Uh thanks" Link said scratching the back of his head.
He then walked into the academy and Pipit and Karane stayed outside, he saw Zelda and she walked to him. "So i guess we will hang out tomorrow?" Link asked still blushing.
"Of course sleepyhead!" Zelda said and pulled him into another kiss.
"Well i guess i am going to tell father that we are together now" Zelda said.
"Yeah you probably should" Link said.
He then walked down stairs to his room and Zelda walked down the hall to his father's quarters, Link opened the door and walked in and decided to lay down, he collasped on his bed and closed his eyes then started thinking of what the day was like and how tomorrow will be like.
