Frank's POV:
I allowed myself to be dragged through the halls by my best friend.
Class had just ended and Gerard was dying to go to the new Chinese
place that had opened not far from the school. He was insistent that I
go with him, and with the assistance of his puppy eyes of doom we were
on our way.
As we reached our lockers, Gee let go of my hand before throwing open
the locker door and pulling out his books. He waited for me to do the
same before intertwining our fingers again and running down the
remainder of the hall. I blushed and hid my face in my hoodie when we
reached the courtyard of our school. Gerard, however, was thankfully
too focused on Chinese food to notice my red cheeks. We walked to his
car and he opened the door for me
"After you, my good sir." He said with a fake posh accent before
hopping into the drivers side and starting up the car.
"So, Gee." I said. "Why do you want to go to the chinese place so
badly?" he only smiled
"Don't worry, Frankie. You'll find out soon." I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, Gee." The rest of the car ride was spent in a comfortable
silence before we made it to the restaurant. I glanced up at the sign.
China Taste. I shrugged and opened the door.
Our meal went well and the food was actually really good, but Gerard
was anxious to go back to the car, which was strange because he was
the one who begged me to come here with him. Gee pulled me out the
door as soon as our bill was paid and we got our fortune cookies. He
motioned for me to open mine shyly. I stared at him.
"Gee, what's up?" I asked
"Nothing, Frank. Just open your cookie."
"No. You're acting really weird. Tell me what's up."
"Frank, I'm fine. Open your cookie."
"No. You open your cookie first." He rolled his eyes in an exasperated manner.
"Fine. You win." he tore open the packaging and cracked open the
styrofoam-like cookie. "You will have great luck today." he read.
"Great. I hope my fortune comes true. Now open your cookie, Frank."
Gerard said. He looked almost nervous. I sighed and slowly crushed my
cookie.
"Frankie, will you go out with me? -Gee" I read. The words processed
in my mind and I stared up at him, wide-eyed. "How the hell did you do
this?" he grinned sheepishly.
"I had it specially ordered." he admitted. "So... What do you say,
Frank." he asked. "Will you go out with me?" I nodded, attacking him
in a hug.
"Yes you idiot." my voice was muffled by his jacket. He smiled before
attaching our lips. So there I stood, in front of a Chinese
restaurant, kissing the guy of my dreams.
