Remembering You
He could only watch as she walked towards the Professor, her bracelet shining with an eerie light...
"Yuzu! Don't!"
She didn't seem to hear him at first but as she turned around, her angelic smile met his horrified expression as she raised her hand which didn't have the bracelet on it for a small wave. Around him, her counterparts were starting to get up from their failed attempts to bring down the man who had caused them all so much pain. As he watched Ruri hold onto Shun, Rin onto Yugo and Serena onto Yuri, Yuya didn't want to believe that this was happening. He was meant to protect her and yet...
"Come back here, Yuzu! Dammit! Don't you dare go!"
"I'm ... sorry... Yuya..." the words of the Melodious duelist burst through his ear drums. "... someone needs to stop this."
"But it doesn't have to be you, right?" Yuya yelled, a slightly crazed look in his eyes. He couldn't lose her now, not when he did so many things to find her and have her back in his arms, safe and sound... "Yuzu!"
"Goodbye..." she smiled sadly as a bright enveloped her and the Professor's form. "... I'm sure we will meet again one day, Yuya, all you need to do is believe in yourself... in me..." only her face was visible now as a tear slid down her cheek. "... I love you..."
Yuya could only watch as those words slipped past her lips before she vanished for good...
"Oi..." a gruff voice shook a distraught Yuya awake. "It's time."
He looked up into Shun Kurosaki's steely eyes, who soon left the room after leaving a pair of black pants and a black shirt for him to wear. The sight of them made the flood of emotions return and he began to sob. Reality came crushing down. But even so, he would see her one day again, even if he could never get her back into his arms...
... for Yuzu Hiragi was dead, having saved their world with her power, and all he could do was count down the moments until he could join her.
So how was it? I'm going to rate it T for now as I'm not sure if it should be rated M...
