Title: "It's not mine."
Prompt: dvd player
Word Count: 360. I'm past caring, apparently. I'll do better next time. ;)
"Son of a-"
"Just because it's made up of metal and wires doesn't mean it doesn't have feelings, Sam." The brunette spun on her heel to face the blonde wide-eyed.
"Brooke!" Brown eyes flitted to the knife in her hand and back to the cheerleader. "What are you doing home?"
"I got back from my date with Josh like an hour ago." Uninterested tainted her voice. "Why are you playing 'knife wielding maniac'?" Sam sighed and stepped aside, waving the object menacingly in the direction of her DVD player.
"Stupid thing is jammed. It won't give me my disc back." Brooke rolled her eyes and strolled into the room, taking the knife out of Sam's hand and moving towards the player. "Brooke no-"
"There's a method to it, Sammy." Brooke stated, sliding the thinnest edge of the knife into the small gap between the tray and the side of the player.
"Please Brooke, I can do it myself." A derisive snort left the blonde's throat.
"That's why you've been grunting and groaning in here for the last half hour." Grinning triumphantly at Sam's blush, Brooke wiggled the knife and began prying the tray open. "It's okay though, you know what they say. Practise... makes..." And silence filtered into the room as the DVD was finally released. "Erotic Fairytales from the land of Lesbanian." Brooke read aloud, pulling out the disc which depicted Snow White being fawned over by seven scantily clad women of oddly average height. "Huh." And all she could think about when she handed the movie and knife back to a thoroughly scarlet Sam, was the grunting and groaning she'd heard earlier. Her eyes flicked to Sam's messy bedspread and then once again back to the DVD now in the brunette's hands. She felt herself flush with what she knew was excitement and dropped her eyes to the ground. Bringing them up to meet Sam's only long enough to utter, "I'll leave you and your movie alone, Princess." and then sauntered out of the room. "Let me know if you need anymore... help." She threw over her shoulder and Sam felt her stomach flip.
"Son of a bitch."
