Tiger Lily sprinted through the forest as fast as her bare feet would take her, clutching the bright green hat in her delicate hands. Her midnight raven hair fluttered behind her as the cool air beneath the shade of the trees turned her caramel cheeks a rosy shade of pink.

"Give it back, Lily! Don't try to run away! I'm faster!" Peter called, laughing as he raced after the pretty Indian girl, one hand to his abruptly exposed auburn hair.

Suddenly, she disappeared behind one of the countless identical trees. Peter stopped in his tracks and surveyed the shady, green forest.

"Lily?"

Tiger Lily peeked out from behind a nearby tree, the orange lily she had tucked in her hair shifting slightly in the breeze, and the green hat dangling teasingly from her fingers, "Come any closer," she warned with a coy smile, "And I'll give you a kiss."

Peter took a hesitant step forward, his brow creased, "A kiss?"

The pretty Indian girl stepped out from behind the tree, "You don't know what a kiss is?" She blinked her wide brown eyes, surprised.

Peter blushed, not wanting to seem foolish, and crossed his arms, trying to look impressive, "Of course I do! I'm not scared of any kiss!" He confidently strode over to his friend, grabbed the hat from her hand quick as lightning, and plopped it back on his head.

Tiger Lily took a small step towards him, a sweet smile lighting up her kind face. Peter closed his eyes tight, waiting for the princess to punch him or give him a noogie. When he opened his eyes he was shocked and confused to find himself face-to-face with the beautiful princess. She smelled like candles and autumn breezes.

Tiger Lily stood up on her tippy-toes and put her hands on either sides of Peter's face. She giggled as she closed the distance and shook her head excitedly, rubbing her nose lightly back and forth across his like a bunny.

Then, she pulled back quickly, taking in his bewildered expression. She smiled and in one swift movement, slipped her arms around his neck and pulled his lips to hers.

Peter was all out of pixy dust but he somehow felt like he was floating.

When she pulled away, she was smiling and blushing but not nearly as much as he was.

Before he could remember how to move, Tiger Lily giggled, pecked his cheek and ran off deep into the forest.

It took him ages of staring after her before he realized his hat had once again disappeared from his head, and a very special princess had just disappeared into the woods with an unusually green headdress.
